Your never too young or too old to Rock n Roll
That Saints-Vikings game was excellent! I thought the Vikings were done when Favre went down with that foot injury in the 4th quarter and subsequently turned the ball over to give New Orleans the lead. But the old man got them into OT.
I think the Super Bowl will be a good match-up, Manning vs. Brees and two potent offenses, good defenses as well. Both teams are playing at a high level and appear well-matched.
Tough one to pick...My head says that Peyton and Indy probably have the overall experience edge from having been to the big game before, and Manning has pulled out several close games during the course of the season, so he knows how to gear a comeback if the Colts trail.
But I'm rooting for the Saints, and I predict that their firepower and aggressiveness on both sides of the ball will win the day. My pick:
New Orleans 31
Indianapolis 28
I just hope the game's as exciting as that score indicates!

For the last 25 years (I am 25), I have been ridiculed, insulted, and mocked for being a diehard Saints fan. I have an Archine Manning throwback jersey, a Bobby Hebert jersey, and a Reggie Bush jersey. Now my biggest issue is deciding which one to wear when I watch the Superbowl!!!! Go Saints! I am so proud of you guys!!!
Videos destroyed the vitality of rock and roll. Before that, music said, "Listen to me." Now it says, "Look at me."

I'm pulling for the saints. I worked with sean paytons older brother, Tom for about 3 years. I bet he's got free tix to the super bowl. I should call him up. Lol. I think the colts will win but still gotta root for the saints.

I've also been a Saints fan forever, and it's finally time for the Saints to get theirs! I predicted Saints/Colts for the SB at the beginning of the playoffs, and I'm picking the Saints to win the game, 28 - 24.
I am, however, tired of the Katrina references all over ESPN. It's been almost 5 years, let it go.
And...
GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Peyton was hilarious on SNL a few years back too, mentoring a group of children.
However, I will never forget his crybaby whining and blaming his team mates for their loss farther back than that. The Saints/Vikings game was exciting! I would have liked to see Fogey...er, Favre win a SB at his age, but oh well. Maybe some other year or lifetime.
Of course, he could defect to yet another team or actually retire.
Any way, I hope the Saints GELD the Colts!

I agree with you, but I posted that P. Manning "might" be the greatest QB, especially based on his all time career numbers. He could end up with the most yards, most TDs, and most wins. Does not look like he could get 4 SB rings like Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw.DirtySanchez wrote:Joe Montana is the greates QB not peyton. I like peyton but he's no Joe Montana.
I guess the question would have to be, does having all time career QB records (yards passing, TD passes, total wins....) make one the best ever.
My favorite QB is Johnny Unitas and favorite running back was Gayle Sayers. Not the greatest careers, but they were super stars when they played. Dick Butkus is my favorite football player overall. An uncaged animal in cleats. I guess you could say I am a bit old school in my NFL all time favorites.
