Discriminating Job Search?

I am employed but am searching for positions in the IT industry.

Every application I fill out online wants to know my:

Race, If I am a Vet etc....

I almost feel like the Average White American male IS BEING DISCRIMINATED against.

Somehow I feel that If I was another race(not just some white guy) my chances of getting an interview would increase. Perhaps Dark Skinned,Blind, Spanish American War Vet with a Visa to work in the USA?

Any way got that of my chest. By the way I must have sent 100s of resumes out in past month with not even 1 call. I have been looking all over the country. Maybe I should say I am not white.

Possibly. Sometimes, I look at the world around me and wonder much of the same things. I've found many small examples where things that shouldn't matter seem to matter more than they do. Oftentimes, when reading about job descriptions, they mention things about minorities welcome, stuff like that. What, I'm not?

I think its more that the economy sucks ass along with the job market. You have a shit ton of people applying for the same jobs you are. Shit, every job has tons of people applying for it. Especially the ass-sitting jobs.
I really doubt it has anything to do with being white. Do something else other than IT. Get your hands dirty....or be a hitman.

I can quote a part for 12 cents plus freight. a competitor who moved here from another country and has quality issues quotes 92 cents a part plus freight, they will get the job this is real it has happened to me more than once and the parts are for the goverment .POs normaly run in 50 thousand part range and up. wheres my civil rights
