Pony Lounge
I heard a rumor that the Pony Lounge is closed. Is that true or is that just more small town gossip?

Na the pony is still open. They have a huge money backer so that is why they are paying CRAZY amounts of money for bands. Just like this past weekend for a nirvana tribute band they paid $3000 (It was a huge flop and there we many fights with people going to the hosiptal). That is not a type-o. Hell they even pay just regular bands $1000+ a night. But yet they are only open Thur, Fri, and Sat. They change staff more than a strip club has strippers. Also, They call you to book you no matter how many times you email them. The staff doesn't know who does the booking. But, it is sad, that place is one of the last places to play in johnstown. Sigh

Kitty Whip used to play there when Eric was booking. We did well! Now that the chick is booking (they also own Shenanegan's and the Pasta Shoppe and do caterings for weddings), you can never get a hold of her.
It sucks because there is NOWHERE to play in Johnstown.
Okay, very few places to play. It's a shame because I friggin live in J,town and would love to be able to gig close to home.
The Nirvana band has played there twice already. Suckage, huh?
