Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

I do the same. I don't think it is a problem though. The beat helps me get through monotonous tasks.
But I've got a similar musicaphob. Whenever someone is talking and they say a line from a song(which is almost everything that is said). I start thinking of that song and start playing that song in my brain from beginning to end and totally blow off the conversation. Not only do I think of the lyrics but I start dissecting the music how many verses and choruses, where the bridge is, turnarounds, the drums, rhythm and lead guitars, bass lines... the genre, what period in musical history was it created in, the message the writer and band are trying to convey. I can get lost for hours on one song.
This is annoying for the person trying to have a conversation with me since they think I am ignoring them. My wife has gotten used to this after so many years. She just lets me roll on and finally asks me "Are you thinking of a song again?" Glad she understands cause everyone else must think I'm crazy.

It's one of those weird, unspoken musician things. I do it alot! We also discovered a few years ago here that many musicians do the drumkit-in-your-head thing, where you click your teeth together very lightly to form a beat. After we discussed this, I noticed a lot more people doing it (you can see our jaws muscles working almost imperceptibly). Apparently it's super-common, but I thought I was the only one, and never discussed it out of fear that I was weird.
Okay, I'm weird, but not because of that.

I also singalong vocal harmonies where there are none, and if a song plays in my head long enough, it morphs into different beats and tempo's, while the lyrics and main melody basically stay the same. I try not to do that much, though, because it sometimes winds up with me writing a song that's still too derivative of another.--->JMS

Wow I sing harmonies where there are none, and do things in time with music too.. i just thought I was OCD. I also try to do everything in even numbers.. at work I use packing material to pack boxes.. I use rolls of paper, I always unwrap from the roll in even numbers, and use my tape dispencer in time with music.. or sometimes i will have to stop for a split second to let a messure or a count go by.
Recording Records DIY, with more than one good song. Watch for my new band

Timing is everything ...
I must have been misdiagnosed when I was a kid ... of course back when I was a kid you didnt have ADD/ADHD and all the other problems. Anywho... I can be just sittin here doin something totally away from music and the songs we are working on in the new group POP into my head and then I start singin the whole damned set in my head. Trying to remember where certain things go with a song, how to maybe transisition from song to song and the funny thing is ... I somehow stay on task. What really flipped me out one day was I was listenin to a CD in the puter while I was doin a story for THE MIRROR and actually ended up putting lyrics to a song in the story. Managing editor calls me and asked me what I meant... little embarassed there but its little shit that does it to me. But, yeah... I have SFSS (sufferin from the same shit)
