The right wing are giving a thuinbs down because they just don't like him. The left wing give him a thumbs down because we don't have health insurance reform yet.f.sciarrillo wrote:Looks at how Obamas polls are the lowest than any other president at this point in history.
Last reports were they were at 42%. Lower than Bush's were. Even the mainstream media is starting to dis him. That is something I thought I would never see ..
More bullshit from Obama.

Don't know if you realize this, but a lot of that stuff is provided by the government. Ever hear of food stamps? Heating caps? If you're poor and you get a job, the government will give you about $700 for a new vehicle. That won't get you crap if you want something that actually runs, really, but the money is there. As far as a guaranteed job. How are people supposed to be self-sufficient if they can't get access to the basic way of providing economic stability? How are people going to get off the government teat you complain so much about if they can't find employment? You can't have your cake and eat it too on this one.undercoverjoe wrote:Health care as a human right? I posted a while back about many more important rights. Before the government takes our money and pays for health care, don't you think food is a human right. The government should provide that free for everyone, it is a basic human right.bassist_25 wrote:I see it as a human right.
How about water, shelter, a job, heat in the winter, AC in the summer, a car. These should all be rights and the government should provide these for us and we should not have to worry about them.
Should all of that be a human right? You can live without a car, but you can't live without a food. You can live with a cold, but you can't live with with a metastatic tumor in your lung.

Maybe the non-college educated white males are now the ones looking for work, while Obama seems more interested in Peace Prizes, supposed global warming, "fundamentally changing America", trying his damnedest to appease everyone- pretty much anything but j-o-b-s.
I just heard Obama blame all the financial mess on the bankers. Go read the Rolling Stone article "Obama's Big Sellout". Change, right.
I also learned this week that there is money now available, there isn't demand. Why? Would you invest in expanding your business in this climate? Possibly doubling in your energy rates, almost certainly new, and higher taxes, and uncertain health care rules coming.
We have very few leaders right now that the general public trusts, and a President with an agenda that few understand, or agree with.

How many companies left the US during the Clinton / Bush NAFTA era ? Now that they're gone for good, how do you propose new jobs will come into existence ? NAFTA was the open door. But, we must not forget the WTO World Trade Organization(China) which is much more inclined to enslave the common man for the the benefit of corporations.Hawk wrote:How many companies left the US during the Clinton / Bush NAFTA era ? No matter what the higher powers do, we have our fates in our own hands.
I am working on getting off the grid completely. The only 2 details to my plan are electricity and the internet. I am in the process of getting rid of public gas, sewer, water and trash removal. I have plans to eliminate going to the grocery store.
It is up to each individual to take steps to ensure his or her own path to economic independence and happiness. Don't leave it up to the governments and corporations or we will be enslaved forever.
What are you doing for yourself besides voting for the next puppet that is put in office?

The right wing makes me cry. Ten trillion dollars debt when Bush left office and no complaints, NONE. Suddenly 11 trillion is WAY TOO MUCH. Was there a line at $10 Trillion that no one knew about ? So their mantra is don't put my kids in debt? I guess it's okay to poison and pollute their Earth, just so they're under $10 Trillion in debt.

that's why the sentence stated with "maybe".Hawk wrote:f.sciarrillo wrote:+1PStl wrote:Maybe the non-college educated white males are now the ones looking for work....
While you're attempting levity, you are dead wrong. And as usual, Frank agrees with it.
Just stickin' up for dumb white conservative fox-lovin' guy.

Obama official; pretty sure it was the woman in charge of finance or something. Anyway, it was the first time I had heard that, so it stuck. Retrieving it, another story!Hawk wrote:Where did you "learn" this ?PStl wrote: I also learned this week that there is money now available, there isn't demand.

But the subject was money for business, and lack of usual demand.

But ithink they have raised the debt ceiling 70 times(?) since 1900's. So I think you're getting too worked up about blaming people for not caring enough, it seems as though it's been business as usual.
But can we count on your support for eliminating wasteful spending, needless earmarks, and deficit spending?

Unemployment rates since March 2007:
White 16+: 3.8 to 9.3 or a 145% increase
Black 16+: 8.3 to 15.6 or a 88% increase
Hisp 16+: 5.2 to 12.7 or a 144% increase
25+ HS no College: 4.0 to 10.4 or a 160% increase
25+ College: 1.9 to 4.9 or a 158% increase
I picked March 2007 because it was the low mark for Whites 16+.
It is interesting how the college educated have been hit.
No doubt, as they run out of unemployment benefits this coming winter, they will most likely eat up many of the available jobs. Another hit for the uneducated. I hear these stats every week on Bob Brinkers show.
Education. I think they should be posted at every high school.
