Sure it makes sense...Stevie Nicks sounds like a goat when she sings. That's been known for years. Kinda like how Toby Keith sounds like Mister Ed. Or how as he gets older, Tom Petty sounds more and more uninteligible, like Bob Dylan.

funny but there really is no accounting for taste. stevie nick is an icon with a very distinctive voice.. and sound. i think she's great.
i also think toby keith is one of the best C$W singer and songwriter today. real talent in his songwriting/lyrics, not the banal drivel like trace etc.
never was a big fan of tom p. but liked the duo with nicks.
What do I like in Country? My favorite part of any song has to be the end. You know, the silence?
I detest country music. It's not even real country anymore, it's all factory-assembled rock. I've said this for years...modern country music is identical to hip-hop: There's a new "hot" artist every week, and they all sound the same. I'd rather listen to alt-country or bluegrass. It's a shame that there are some hellaciously talented musicians wasting their time with modern country music. Allan Jackson has one of the most talented bands around, but the crap that they end up playing on the albums just out-and-out sucks.
Give me alt-country like Steve Earle, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, or Jason & the Scorchers any day over Toby frickin' Keith, Keith Urban, or Taylor Swift.
