The last thing in the world that I would want to do is control some think-he-knows-it-all socialist. I just want you and your socialist leaders to leave me and the economy alone. OK with that, comrade koolaid?
I do not think of John as one of those insufferable "know it all" types! I certainly have no toleration for people like that!
We all have strong opinions about many things.
We all have great knowledge of certain things.
One does not make you better than the other or even right for that matter.

So with that I simply think that John enjoys expressing his opinion about things he believes strongly in.

Surely that does not put him in the ring with all those snobbish bastards who think they know everything about everything and their shit does not not stink so to speak.

If so I guess I am in trouble too?

I too like John have strong opinions about things which I firmly believe in.
The only difference is I do not much enjoy sharing my political opinions.

I know John a bit and I know a lot of Snobbish Bastards as described above and John in my humble opinion is definitely not one of them.

John, for the umptheenth time, I follow libertarian policies. I want no government to rule my or any one else's life. Your leader is the fascist, wanting his government to take over private businesses and tell us how to live our lives by his socialist, tree-hugging ideals.

Fox News is quite the enemy of the libertarian movement, why would I care what they say. Time to get over your psychotic hate affair with Fox News. They play no part in my life, neither does MSNBC or any other main street media. They did their best to submarine any chance Ron Paul had last year, so time for you to find a new straw man to attack.

Keep up the socialist revolution Comrade Koolaid.

"Comrade Koolaid"? Awesome!

Problem with you Joe is that you are in so deep ass that original thought avoids you like the plague and you don't know it. Hard to see the splinter in your neighbors eye through the plank in your own.

And John, you make me seem conservative!

Better watch it cause their are guys like Joe everywhere, but most of them don't go outside....

Seems like the best thing we could do here is.....

Do a show to raise money for a family in Hollidaysburg who's house burnt to the ground. Anyone up for that? I don't know shit about anything that happened other then it happened but if we are game I will find out and we can do some good for someone we don't know!

What do you think?

Or should we continue the thread as it exists?

Jesus once said "If you are not teaching people to love each other then you are leading them the fuck away from me! Stop it!"

And that is a quote! What say you? Or we could do something to raise money for a fund to help when people on the board are really screwed and they need help. Fuck we could take %50 of all the money that every band makes in the month of December and help Keith out!
Dave, do you ever have cogent thoughts? Try some logic some time, its refreshing.

Yes sir Comrade Koolaid!

I mean no, well actually that post proves my point! Come on Joey I am an uneducated hick, WTF!

Thanks!

Undercover is the way to go right? I mean does that not mean "Covert"? Are you real or do you just exist to remain undercover?

and.....

Why would I use logic on a thread like this? Its shear existence is proof that logic does not really have a place on here. By the shear definition of logic would it not be unarguable if it were indeed logical? Or are you talking Spock logic, like "the Needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few"?

If we were bond by logic only do you really think this conversation would exist?

And by the way I take it that is a big "No WaY!"

?

Nor does logic appear to have a place in political discussion. My logic was keep letting out verbal brain farts or maybe help someone in need.

The "con" text of this thread bears the results rather nicely.

And anyway dude I post on here so infrequently that it does not really matter that much....It is just weird that when I look at this board I already know what I am going to see...

Just thought you guys might be interested in helping someone out...

Never mind.

Somebody please give me an example of an industy whose final cost-to-consumer went DOWN via deregulation? If you allow crookery to become legal, the only result is more crookery. Case in point: the banking industry. And the petroleum industry. And the cable TV industry. And on and on... --->JMS
Why do you have to twist it around? I'm talking about raises in rates due to non-existent conditions. That's crookery my friend.

No, you want YOU to rule everyone's life. You want final approval on everything from how I greet someone in December to the people I vote for. You are the Definer, the Authority. I watch more MSNBC than any other channel, but I watch them all. When you hear the rhetoric from both sides you get a good feeling of how the duality is supposed to be played out. The major media will only let 2 viewpoints be heard. Right and left. The right today is very neo-conish, practically pushing American imperialism. The left today is beyond socialist, actually going towards fascism (with government takeover of banking, mortgage and some automobile industries). Both of these viewpoints lead to STATISM.

I do not want anyone to tell me how to live my life. I do not want to tell anyone else how to live their lives. If they continue to steal my money at gunpoint to push their agendas, I will try and stop that. If that is what you want to call control, then that is your definition, not mine.

Jefferson said, "That government which governs least governs best". That is still the best policy. Neither the right or left today have anything to do with that statement.

That is why a third movement of very limited government, as defined in the Constitution, can be the only real option left for anyone who agrees with our founder's principles.

Again Joe. Everything the government is doing IS IN the constitution. "Implied Powers". I believe Jefferson said that before he became president . Because after he became president he used "implied powers" do to something that he thought needed to be done, but WAS NOT in the constitution. It was unconstitutional for Jefferson to buy Louisiana, but he did it anyhow by using the "implied powers" article in the constitution.

Just as Jefferson thought it needed to be done for the good of the US, Obama thinks that bailing out the banking industry, and car manufacturing industries IS necessary for the good of the US. IMPLIED POWERS...read the constitution.

I also think (I need to research this) that the car manufacturers are paying back the loans.

Are you joking. I hope so.

That was because the colonies had no representatives in England.

We elect representatives in Federal, State, County and local governments. The Federal reps just get paid well by the lobbying factions (Yes lonewolf , FACTIONS) that do not have the USA interests in mind, only their own greedy agenda. The supreme court allowed these factions when they agreed that a company is equal to a person (with the same rights) and money is the same as free speech ! All Bull...

Once again. I get tired of educating you. George Washington was the first to create a federal tax. He ask Alexander Hamilton if he could do it under the already written constitution. Alexander Hamilton refered George Washington to the "implied powers" article of the constitution. IT IS IN THE CONSTITUTION.

It's so funny hearing liberals being constitutional. I guess taking money from businesses is in the constitution huh?

The government takeover of GM, that's definitely constitutional as well.
