Steelers suck this year.

They got beat by the Raiders today ! .. I am going back to being a full time New England fan for the rest of the season. The Steelers are officially out of it . :(

I was just about to start a thread called "Steelers Suck", but you beat me to it.

Their D isn't worth 2 shits in a bucket as long as Ike Taylor is in and Troy Polamalu is out.

I don't care if they lose every game of the year-beating Pittsburgh puts the icing on the cake. I may be wrong cause I really don't follow pro football anymore but didn't this loss knock the Steelers out of the play offs as well?

no, they can still get a wildcard spot...but it's not looking too promising at this point haha. they need to win out and hope a few teams lose some games.

Yeah, The Steelers don't need any fairweather fans! win or lose they have one of the best overall records in the NFL.

I never said I wasn't a fan. I am, New England is my second favorite team. So if the Steelers don't have a chance, then it is the second best I am hoping for.

Of course Miami beat New England today .. :lol:

Pats didn't look so good the past two weeks. I think you'd be more comfortable rooting for the Colts or Saints.

What kinda steelers fan roots for the Pats. oh yeah NONE, after how many times the patriots knocked the steelers out of the playoffs. Fair weather fans twist my balls. Does the defense stink this bad just because 2 of 11 starters are out? Troy and Aaron Smith (out for the season) should not make THAT much of a difference, should they?

OK first of all i am a Raiders fan !!! Why do people always say that the Raiders are the worst team in the NFL when there are other teams with worse records like the Chiefs, Browns, Redskins, Rams, Lions... Bills,and the Seahawks... Point is the Raiders have beaten 3 very good teams this year in the Bengals, The Eagles, and your beloved Steelers.... Worst team in the NFL ?? Not at all....

It comes down to their defense. The secondary is FUCKING HORRIBLE. Gay and Taylor are horrible and need to go. Plus they lack a lot of discipline.

Actually, Cincy has a D this year. That's the difference.

Anyway, I love the Steelers! Gotta take the losses with the wins. It's all good, we'll always be a contender. They've been playing like shit lately, making mistakes and not finishing drives. How many times should they have scored today? I know of at least three drives that should have ended in points....one turnover, a FG miss, and a 4th down. Also, a dropped pick toward the end.. They are killing it themselves, either way, the NFL is crazy and you never know whats gonna happen.

Having Troy out seems to make a real difference in the way the team plays. I am still not sold on Mike Tomlin, he walked into a great situation and it worked. When your defensive leader is out the other guys have to step up.

If they are not stepping up and making the plays could there not be a coaching issue?

Polamalu makes ALL the difference...his presence makes up for people like Ike Taylor who blow coverages all the time.

there are others that suck hell of a lot worse than steelers. steelers don't actually suck they are plagued with injuries to key positions and are in a temporary slump. the steelers are one of the greatest teams that ever graced the footbal field and they will find a way to get in the playoffs THIS year, mark my words! 8)
