Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

It has absolutely everything. Great vocals and harmonies, emotion, tremendous energy, movement(s), soaring and scorching lead lines, thoughful lyrics, all tied together into a powerful suite.

I don't have one all time favorite song. Too many to list for me. There are some excellent songs named so far here but Lonewolf's choices are high on my list as well. Song For America creates a musical atmosphere. I would also have to put Roundabout by Yes and Highway Star by Deep Purple in my Top 10

Shinin' On
Grand Funk Railroad

We are winners and losers, bed fellow choosers,
Put here to pass by the times.
We are space-age sailors, all had our failures,
Now everybody gonna' shine.

When my hub, Chris & I got married he had his brother queue "Song For America" to play at the moment the preacher said "Husband & Wife" - It was sooo cool!!

One of my absolute favorites is Los Lonely Boys - Heaven

every time i hear this tune i get uplifted, makes me feel good..

Save me from this prison, Lord help me get away
Cause only you can save me now, from this misery
I've been lost in my own place and I'm gettin' weary
How far is heaven

the lyrics are sooo true, aren't they?

Ask the Hurricanes to do this next time .. you won't be disappointed !

The Hurricanes probably do more Allman Brothers covers than any other.

I know they do Elizabeth Reed, Blue Sky, Whipping Post, One Way Out. Dreams, Melissa, Jessica, Whipping Post and the Brothers version of Stormy Monday Blues. I have also heard Felix throw in bits of Les Bres In A Minor, Trouble No More and Mountain Jam in various jams.

I love it, my favorite local band covering my favorite all time musicians.
