Try making your own. I never made Speakon before, just 1/4 inch. You pick the guage, the jacks, and the length.

If you are talking about a 3-5 foot long cable, you will notice zero difference between heavy gauge cable brands. There is not enough distance to generate any impedance, phase problems or excess capacitance. The speakons provide strain relief so that connections will last virtually forever.

Get a 12 gauge with the connectors you need and you'll be set.

Do you need speakons on both ends or a 1/4" on one and speakon on the other? If you need 1/4" on one end, you could get a 10' 1/4" - 1/4", cut it in half and add speakon connectors for 2 cables.

Prolly no soldering involved. Just screw the ends under and yer good to go.

Neutrik ends and the aforementioned 12 Gauge cable.

I have a couple 30 foot speaker cables i don't use any more. Right now they are 1/4 inch on one end and speakon on the other end. 25 bux and thats cheap. I will cut it down to the lent you need and put what ever ends you want on it. Plus you will have extra cable left.....let me know

BTW 2 speakon ends will run you 25 bux any way....

Does your bass amp have a speakon connector too?

Is it a bi-ampable head?

Many bass heads have two separate power amps and a crossover. One amp powers the low frequencies and the other powers the mids/highs. By the same token, there are biampable speaker cabinets that have low frequency speakers and mid/high frequency speakers or drivers that can be separately powered with the previously described head.

This is called biamping. Its basically the same as using separately powered subs and mid/high cabinets in a PA system.

One of the cool things about the basic speakon connectors is that you can run two separate speaker circuits on one 4-conductor cable. It is probably something you could do with a biampable bass amp.
