This song was originally done by Ken, but we liked it so much it's now a band song. It was recorded and mixed by Fourth Dimension Audio.

That version is just about done. I only have some automation to do on the track.
Myspace never does any songs justice. they compress to 128 kbps and lower. Thats horrible for audio. Anytime you hear a song you like on myspace, trust me, the real thing sounds much better. either get the higher quality mp3 or get a cd. i didnt know how much of a difference it made until i started encoding songs into lower bitrates to do comparisons.
ANYWAY!!!
It was fun working with those guys. I also do their live sound. Ive been friends with 3 of them for years and the bassplayer is a real cool guy too. i wish he'd get on rockpage.
Anyway, more songs are to follow soon. I hope you all enjoy the music.

Not much into rock, I'm a rapper from Huntingdon, lol.

But really, I liked the intro. My favorite part I think is the chorus. I like the lyrics in it.

Can I ask a quick question? In rock music, when recording, it sounds like you don't double or triple up the vocals (adding another track of vocals behind the main ones) to the chorus. Can I ask why? That was my only thing, that sometimes it sounded a little 'thin'. But then again, I'm used to listening to double and tripled up rap vocals, so I could be completly wrong.

But still, great song. You guys working on an album or anything?

In the recording world, I guess nothing is set in stone on how to do it. With that being said, yes production on rap and rock are very different. In rap, multiple vocal tracks are there to sometimes make it sound like its a group of people. Where as in rock, usually its reverb or doubling used to thicken main vocal track. And of course backups on another track. Remember as i said before nothing is set in store in the audio production world. There are multiple ways to get you where you wanna be. Then you gotta add the personal taste factor. Do I want Ganister's song to sound like six people are singing it? Nope, not at all. However, If I were producing a band where six people sang in the band, certainly you'd hear six people. All things can be done through EQ, Panning, and Reverb.
