New Song Done. Can I Get Feedback?

Post by Tax »

Jus to warn everyone here, it is rap, lol. I don't know if this is the right place for this thread, but I looked and didn't see one for jus putting up music.

I'm putting this song up here, because I'm having trouble getting my stuff heard. So any listens, feedback, critique, is all welcome and appreciated.

or

Song's called 'Gotta Make It Out'. Thanks!

That's pretty tight. I just listened to the two songs on soundclick, and I was really diggin that beat on "All Day". Do you do your own beats, or do you collaborate with someone?

I just listened to your songs on the myspace link. That's pretty good and I agree with uneartha7xmatt about your talent, beats, and flow. I told some of my friends and family to take a listen to you too. Good luck with what you got there. Great to hear some decent rap artists are starting to come out.

The only thing I would criticize is bring a bigger hook in on the choruses musically. Rather than keeping the same beat going for the entire song. Not bad though.

Thanks so much everyone, definitly appreciate the positive feedback and critiqueing.

I used to post here, but it's been a while, and I forgot both my name and my password, haha, so I had to make a new name.

I know it's called 'Rock Page', but I jus wanted some feedback from LOCAL ARTISTS, and in our area, this is the only site. Thanks for being open minded and taking a listen to an area rapper, haha.

Hey, no problem.

Just like the homepage says...

"We're doing our best to serve the local and regional music community here in Pa."

Regardless of the name, rap is a part of the music community. Kinda wish there was more quality rap artists to listen to on here.

I'm generally not a fan of rap in...well almost any form. But this stuff is pretty good man. Incredibly catchy too.

I'd have to agree with Robthedrummer about the chorus though. Not quite enough of a hook but definitely on the right track with these. Keep it up man

I'm actually really impressed with the recording. What are you doing your vocals through?

Sounds pro, mixed very well. Where did you do it?

Keep it up. And you live in Huntingdon?

Welcome to P.A. is my favorite, BTW.

Yea, Huntingdon.

I'm glad you like it, I really appreciate it. Well I do my recording in my attic, lmao. I have a condenser mic, a Behringer mixer, a computer, some recording software (Cool edit pro 2.0) and 10 years of mixing expierience lol. (I'm 23).

Hey, thanks so much for the feedback, I appreciate it. I'll keep in mind about the hook on the next ones.

I agree with much of the other comments above; good groove, smooth sound that flows along well. Admittedly my exposure to this genre is limited, but this does sound fresh and mostly catchy.

I think my favorite is "All Day," with its unique rhythm. It's something a little different.
