Legends sports bar in Stoystown

Post by Matt_22 »

Does anyone know if Legends is shut down or still open for buisness. I heard rumors saying they are closed and rumors saying they are still open just with a change in managment. Can anyone say what is going on for sure??????????

Back when ESY played there.. I think that they said they were supposed to be changing management, but they didn't know when. Perhaps that's what's happening now...?

As of a few weeks ago Legends was definately closed. I have some friends who worked there so if I hear anything about it re-opening I'll be sure to post it on here.

My Band was to play there last month. I noticed that it wasn't advertised in the weekend section of the tribune, like they normally do, so we called the next morning (the day we were to play) and found out that it was closed. No one called us... Some guys in the band play for a living, so that sucks. We had sound booked and everything. I'm just glad we didn't make the trip there and then find out.

Yeah, that's a big prick trick to not even call and cancel out the bands. Right now all we have to go on is "hear-say". Lost Ledny plays there next Saturday, well they were to be playing there.

That place always seems to be changing hands. I remember when it was the "Fantasy", then "Fantasy II", etc.

Damn nice place, too bad it never stays open consistently. Location is probably a factor.

What do you all think?

I agree Stace,

Awesome place. However, being in Stoystown probably crushes them. If it was somwhere else, it might stay open.

I talked with the owner of legends today well lets just say I called him.

For now its closed!

The place was doing ok, but needed more time of him than he was able to dedicate to it. He is involved in other ventures that require much of his time.

He asked that I thank everyone and anyone who has either played there or patronized Legends.

The manager who ran the bar was to have called anyone booked there. He is sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused as he is a hands off owner.

It may reopen in the future if he finds something or someone thats acceptable to operate it.
