Going under the blade....again.

Looks like I'll be taking some time off from Bad Daze and the local music scene. I have to get some pretty extensive shoulder surgery next Fri. to repair a torn tendon, bone spurs, and rotator cuff in my left shoulder. This was not caused by a specific injury but from my R.A. that I've been battling for a few years now. They say depending on how the surgery goes I could be recovered and back at it in as little as 4-6 weeks or as long as 6 months to a year. I'LL BE BACK IN 4-6 WEEKS!!

I really wasn't prepared for this cause I just had back surgery last year and was finally getting over all that. My main concern though is that my brothers in arms Rob, Paul, and Kenny were covered and they are! Harry is coming back to rock the kit for awhile!!

Harry starts next weekend. Go out to check it out!! I'll see ya in a few weeks!!

They have the technology. They can repair him.
No wait, his insurance doesn't cover pre-existing conditions like RA. Plus, they only cover the first million dollars. We could have a benefit to raise the other five million.

I said at this rate Jim will be bionic.

We are sad that Jim has to go through the surgery, but his health is paramount. Much like his back surgery, he'll come back even better and with a new found vengence. This is the dude who played a gig without missing a beat after spraining his wrist the evening before.

We're looking forward to having Harry jamming with us again for a while. Sometimes, when you have a sub, the chemistry just isn't compeletly there, so you just play the gig and look forward to your normal cat getting back. That's never an issue with Harry. He fits like a glove, just like Jim does.

Most important of all, with both Jim and Harry, the Tama is being represented.

Best wishes, Jim. Don't let them keep you down a year!! No way!!! Prove 'em wrong!! I severed a tendon in my thumb and they told me no more than 75% range of motion...and I can reach across and touch my palm. F them.

What is the goal of the surgery? What are they going to try to do with the surgery, and what do YOU consider a good outcome after it's all over and you are healed?
