Da Bears!

Post by 4_the_pocket »

Alright, I know Im stirring the pot with this one and will draw the ire from some friends here, but woooo hoooo - go Bears!!!

The only time I ever cheer against the Steelers is when they play Chicago. Was a good game. Poor Reed...that should have been a "W" for the gold and black. It was encouraging to see a bit more run yards for the Steelers.

Ok, let me have it! **go ducks in the corner**

------------

And am I the only one who fears Penn State is a paper tiger at #5? I havent seen a whole lot to be happy about so far against the cupcakes. Hope they play with some intensity Saturday night.

I'm hoping PSU has been sleepwalking a little. Those noon kick-offs against the Akrons and Temples are hard for the crowd to get up for, and I imagine the team too. I don't think intensity will be a problem on Saturday night. Game Day is there, it's a "White-Out," the first Big Ten game, revenge factor, etc...

It's gonna be NUTZ! A big game at PSU is something everyone should experience at least once. It's "The greatest show in college football."

Oh, and as far as the Stillerz, I'm not a fan, but I did want them to beat Da Bears because they're in the Vikings division. But Jeff Reed being the goat is sweet. That guy is a douche-nozzle.

Yea, they sucked yesterday. Oh well.

You know what, the Steelers can't win in Chicago for some reason....they have now lost 12 of the last 13 games in Chicago. Whazzup wit dat!?

In the past when I was working for another newspaper, there was nothing like going to cover PSU games. The last five minutes of the game, the press can go down and stand in the far end zone near the band. To walk out of that tunnel and hear the 100,000+ fans screamin their asses off is something to witness. Yeah sure its loud in the seats but down on the field it is something else! Iowa as of late has given the Nits a fit and last year ruined a perfect season. Scoirotto's pass interfence call was the difference. But, if you have never been to a game and someone offers you a chance to go - do it. It will be better than lickin whipped creme off the various body parts of a hot naked chick from PSU :P

Well I was born and raised in Chicago and the suburbs, so I'm a Bears fan myslef. It was definitely nice to see that win yesterday. I'm also for the Steelers, unless they are playing the Bears!

I was in disbelief when "da Bears" beat my Steelers. Cutler looked like a different quarterback. the bears still have a lot of "fleas" , i doubt they are a contender this year. If they come up against Steelers again, they will get trounced. (i come away thinking they were lucky) Too many great teams this year. But I do feel the Steelers have a great chance to repeat!

It is always the Bears and Ravens that they choke against. I don't know what it is. 12 losses in 13 games is just nuts.

**sigh** Oh Franklin...it appears your sports *eh hem* knowledge is about as good as your political garbage.

Here is the breakdown of the Bears vs Steelers:

Pittsburgh owns a 7-19-1 all-time record against the Chicago
Bears, including a 1-11 record in Chicago...the Steelers have won
the past three matchups between the two teams...Pittsburgh’s
21-9 victory over the Bears on Dec. 11, 2005 spearheaded an
eight-game winning streak culminated with a victory in Super
Bowl XL...this will be Pittsburgh’s first trip to the Windy City since
a 37-34 overtime victory at Soldier Field on Nov. 5, 1995, and only
their third appearance in Chicago since 1986...the Steelers had
been 0-11 in Chicago all-time prior to that victory...the Steelers
have a record of 8-16 all-time in Chicago, which includes a 7-5
mark against the Chicago Cardinals from 1933-1959 prior to their
move to St. Louis...Pittsburgh has posted a 7-6-1 record against
the Bears since recording their first win against Chicago, 24-10,
on Nov. 30, 1958 (0-13 prior to that win)...LB James Farrior has
had great success against the Bears in his career, making 22
tackles (16 solo) in three career games, including 11 stops (7
solo) in the Steelers’ victory in 2005.

For posting that big article a few months ago about RPers not being "nice" to each other, you sure have been ripping on people lately.
