We always have a halloween party and we have a great turnout. But I think its getting "OLD" in the way we do things. It's always the same ol same ol.
Each year, we give away $50 to three different costume categories....and to me, it doesn't seem that too many people come up front to try to win it. So is it getting old to do it the way we do it? Is there a better way to handle a costume contest? Do we really need to give away $50 cash to each winner or would it be better to give away some sort of prize basket with lots of gag type gifts to go with the category?
I've tried decorating a few years for it...and quite frankly got upset when the decorations that I put a lot of my personal money into started to disappear. It's heartbreaking that people steal from me when I don't have a lot of extra money to put in to it.
Anyone have any cool ideals on halloween parties at bars?

Ask patrons when they arrive if they would like to participate in the contest. If Yes, snap a picture via polaroid or digital camera and decide from that. Just a thought.Lisa wrote: So is it getting old to do it the way we do it? Is there a better way to handle a costume contest?
