Barney Frank has just introduced a bill to decriminalize marijuana. For those interested, you can help by clicking on the link below, walkng through the steps, and e-mailing your congressman. You'll see a generic message.
You'll need to modify (personalize) it to send it out. Just change one word or rewrite the whole thing.

Now don't get too excited, Rome wasn't built in a day but it's a start.

Heh, heh, heh... the federal governmnent doesn't have the power to decriminalize anything. By the same token, the states can make whatever they want legal or illegal. If you want weed, you have to convince Harrisburg....

The feds certainly can prevent the DEA from overriding the state laws. That would be a big step for those states and would prevent some of the conflict between them and the feds. I wouldn't be surprised if this bill does pass, as it would really only affect the states where pot is already decriminalized.

you guys really think this bill will pass? maybe i'm a pessimist, cause i'd really like to think that it would happen, but i don't think it will. so many politicians run on values based tickets that i really doubt they will pass something like this. although a 50 dollar 10 sack would be nice to not get arrested for...i guess an 8th would cost 175?

While many, if not most here, have driven after having a few, most weedsters I know do NOT like to drive while toasted. Most would rather sort of find a place to sit and watch and listen. Driving 2 hours later is pretty much like drinking and driving 2 hours later... if you didn't have much, you're probably about the same, driving-wise.
That said, I do not support toking and driving, it is most certainly dangerous, as is drinking and driving. Just don't do it, and you'll be okay.--->JMS

1) weedsters not driving--I know way too many who do.
2) 2 hours...{yawns} after 1-2 hours comes sleepytime pothead. Crash 1 and then crash 2.
