Anyway, how deep do you usually go in each position? How many players will you get total? oh, I'm such a newbie at this....but I think its going to be fun.

We have buzztime/ntn in our bar. They have a fantasy football game this year that on Wednesday nights, you can come in and select your team for the week and they will give away some cool prizes nationally. I think I'll do that one too.

thanks in advance for the answers.
Lisa,

As far as the rosters go, you'll draft for the following positions: QB, RB, WR, TE, K, and team DEF (defense).

The slots on your team will be as follows: one QB, one RB, one WR, one "slash" player (a slot for either a WR or RB depending on what you feel like), one TE, one K, and one DEF. You'll also have 5 bench slots for extra players. You'll want to make sure that you have a few quality backups to account for the NFL bye weeks. You don't want to have your entire team having the same bye so you don't score any points that week.

Don't sweat it, Lisa, you'll have fun. We don't play for prizes, just for bragging rights. It would be great if you could be online for the draft, but if you can't, we certainly understand, you've got a business to run. But if you fall asleep, you'll be in trouble. Okay, not really.

My team is not doing so well.

Baltimore's Defense sucked today, Ocho didn't even show up. My other two receivers are non-existant. My tight end didn't do anything. I'm still waiting on four games to be completed, but right now I have 32 points. I took a bad loss today.

I played three WRs. Ochocinco, Santana Moss, and Boldin. Combined for 9 catches. No TDs. wow, just wow....

I just thought this was a terrible week for people who didn't have Drew Brees...lol. Yeah, I know it wasn't that bad, but man there was a LOT of sloppy games. Of course it is only week 1 and no one really played four full quarters during the preseason, but still...

also there were a lot of qb trades and new starters for teams and they need to get in tune with their new wide receivers. Look for a lot higher numbers for them about the third week.
The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.

The interesting thing is that after week 3,

Stone Cold is in first place with 279 points.

Drum Demons is in last place with 273 points.

Sanchez was good the first couple of weeks then I had to release him. I ended up playing with Jason Campbell and Matt Hasselbeck as my main quarterbacks depending on who they were playing.

kept Robbie Gould in the season....he did well as a kicker. Yesterday he got me 16 points which is great for that spot.

I found that you had to pay attention week to week if you were serious. Watch for injury reports and other issues that may indicate that a player won't play much that week. Some of my early season players had to be left go because they ended up being benched or were moved to the second string position. It was fun doing the research each week.

Wow. I have to be honest and wonder how you actually won the whole thing standing at 6 wins and 8 losses. But congratulations.

Are you going to draft a rookie quarterback next year in the first overall?

Ya never know :) But probably not. Rookie hype is overrated.
