We did it for the fans....
Fedup is now Defunct. We all still love each other, but after 5 years we decided to move on. We didn't want to keep stealing fans from possible HF1 reunions. Joe and I will still be rippin it up with the side effects, so check it out.

Keep your money. You had me at "a dozen ribeyes"witchhunt wrote:I'm a fan that never saw you live. If I were to buy a keg and a dozen ribeyes, AND give you ten bucks, would you guys come play a personal reunion show on my deck?

Dave- The Side Effects will be playing The J-Town gig.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. It saddens me a little, but it was time.

I dont care if this is blowing u guys or not; in the last 14 or so years I have been playing in the club scene; you guys were the one original band that I could really connect with. I dug the whole song first concept with sludgey guitars and pissed off vox; that you guys worked with very well. Like Paul said the last lineup was pretty slammin...
The thing I am really dissapointed by is in the last few yrs I got to really know the guys there was never any new tunes to show what you guys had evolved into. I hope to see u and Dave and Joe out sometime when we play. You guys are a lot of fun to hang with. Im sure Scott wont stay too long on the sideline; but then again u never really know whats around the next corner of life.

The first sentence is why we're done. Tired of spinning our wheels.
The second sentence: Scott is pregnant with a random black mans baby.

Brian,
The Bastards will raise a glass in Fed Up's honor this evening.
Bands splitting up really sucks but tomorrow is a brand new day.
The Side Effects will fill the void and you will be a happy man.
The rest of the guys will get on with their life's work and be better for it.
Yet another great band goes down in the annals of metal's long long history.
Cheers to yinz!!!!!

R.I.P. FedUP 2002-2009
It was a helluva ride for the last few years since it's inception back in 2002. We are all grateful for all the support from the fans, friends, family, & other bands we have shared the stage with. You guys all made it worth the blood, sweat & tears we shed and helped us persevere thru all the hard times that we've encountered. I would personally like to thank all the members past and present for helping make my idea come to fruition thru all their dedication and sacrifice. You guys are all like brothers to me and I wish you all the best of luck in any other endeavors you might pursue.
Chad, the spinning wheels thing was the deciding factor. It just seemed like that last 4 years everytime everything was looking good and momentum was on our side we got the rug pulled out from under us one way or another. From my back surgery to members relocating, these various setbacks cost us time and advancement. After Eric needed to quit for his personal reasons, we all thought here we go again. I wanted to keep it going, but after we practiced with a new drummer again, I could see it in Scott and Brian that that the interest was declining, as it was in me for the last year. You just get tired of playing the same 15 songs for years on end without anything new. We just couldn't ever work on new stuff because we had to teach it all to the replacements over and over. We had all kinds of new ideas and I have hours of riffs laying around, but never had the opportunity to get anything new finished, cause we'd have to rehearse the old tracks to get the new members up to speed. This along with all the personal problems that were popping up in everyone's life is why we made the decision to end. There are no hard feelings and everyone is as good of friends as ever.
It was a great run and I'd never change any of it. I've made some awesome friends in the scene and learned a lot along the way. I really don't know where my path may take me. I just want to take some time away for a while and maybe do an acoustic thing or something totally different. Never rule out a reunion gig at somepoint....
