The Side Effects new mix
I did a new mix of the Side Effects song "Lets Get's Fucked Up". I wanted to try out some new plugins and ideas.
The guitars are a blend of the mic'ed cabinets, and DI tracks with a really cool Amp Sim called SoloC on them. I used impulse responses for the cab simulation.
Also features parallel compression on the drums.
Im prob gonna do some automation to make it sound better.
Only mixing done, no mastering done yet.
Have a listen:

Im excited to finish the album, as they are a great band & im sure it will sell for them!

Sounds pretty good, man!
For me, I could stand to hear a bit more bass guitar, along with more electric guitars. If you decide to add in more bass guitar, you might need to add a little more attack to the bass drum to get it to cut, too - maybe a little more on the send to the drum compression, and/or some hi-mid EQ boost.
Nice work!

I think what he's saying here is; "the singer sucks".

There's this awful raspy gurgling sound coming from my speakers, maybe you had a bad cable Keith.

Haha! Not at all. I thought the singer sounded good - just wanted to hear more crunchy guitars and some bass!DirtySanchez wrote:
