I was moving and didn't get to check this for a bit. JackANSI, you should have read my posts better. I POINTED OUT that I changed the subject. I was just having some fun with it. I'm glad you defended your liberal buddy. There were too many people against songsmith on this thread and he needed your support. I wanted it to be more fair.

Men with guns demonstrates a simple point, and that is that those that have the guns have the power. Period. Who do you want to be in charge? The Government or the people. It used to be that these were one in the same, but the gap between our leadership and the populace is widening more and more every day. We are faced with too many career politicians who don't remember what it is like to be a regular joe.

Depends which people are the ones with the guns. Could be a good or a bad thing. Least we have the illusion of selecting our leaders the way it is now, I think a vast majority of people would have a problem with that getting taken away.

Exactly, a lifetime of dealing with whiny little liberal bitches like the ones on Rockpage, will make one an expert on them.
Welcome back to the thread, I see you're still not able to find any identical Nazi->Brady paragraphs.

I'm not "a liberal." I'm just not on the far-right. I have a crew-cut, own guns, and drive a pickup. I have been voting Dem on the national scene lately, but usually lean to the right in state and local elections.
My deal is that I can't stand that the extreme right-wingers have such short memory-spans. And that they fall for whatever their media tells them, and can repeat it verbatim. And that they criticize anyone who doesn't.
Plus, it's like Pavlov's Dog here. I have to respond so that the stupidity doesn't throw the world off it's axis. :) --->JMS

Anyone who voted for the socialist programs that B. Hussein is foisting upon this country is a liberal, no matter how much you try to convince yourself that you are not. He had the most liberal voting record as a Senator going into the election. Now he is pushing government into way too much private industry, such as banking, mortgage, auto and now health care. That now makes him the biggest Fascist in the country.

Hope you liberals are fine with the Chains you can believe in.

Not to cut in, but I think it should only be around as a metaphor for why children should not play with matches.

Pat Buchanan explains why democratic republics should not toy with socialist liberalism. This is a great summation of what this administration is doing to ruin this country.

From Websters Online Dictionary:

Definition: Fascist
Fascist
Adjective
1. Relating to or characteristic of fascism; "fascist propaganda".

Noun
1. An adherent of fascism or other right-wing authoritarian views.
Source: WordNet 1.7.1 Copyright © 2001 by Princeton University. All rights reserved.

Date "fascist" was first used: 1921. (references)

And lest you think Webster's is a bastion of left-wing propaganda, from another online dictionary:

fas·cism (fas̸h′iz′əm)

noun

1) the doctrines, methods, or movement of the Fascisti

2) a system of government characterized by rigid one-party dictatorship, forcible suppression of opposition, belligerent nationalism, racism, and militarism, etc.

A: a political movement based on such policies
B: fascist behavior
Etymology: It fascismo < fascio, political group < L fascis: see fasces

So, Joseph, by your professed belief in one-sided politics, you reveal yourself... YOU ARE A FASCIST. I personally believe there are at least two sides to every issue, I know that makes it much more complex for you, but that's how it is.

ALSO: You do not get to define me or my politics. That privilege belongs to me alone. You have no authority, nor do the whack-jobs whose every word you follow. I don't step & fetch for you or any of the knuckle-draggers who think liberty means we can do anything we want, as long as we run it by them first. I deny you and your ilk any authority over me at all.

Honestly, it's like taking candy from babies here sometimes.--->JMS

Yep, this truly describes the Hussien administration.

BTW, I do take exception when you call Ron Paul a wacko. I do follow his political lead and his words, and he is no wacko, he is a libertarian.

Sorry for calling you a liberal. You voted for a socialist, so I correct myself and change liberal to socialist.

Socialist= Wingle-berry catchword. What's been socialized, Hoss?

Banks? Goldman Sachs turned a HUGE profit last quarter, socialism means all profits go to the gov't.
Auto? Nope, Mr. President didn't go to the automakers asking if they could use a handout, they came begging in their corporate jets.
Healthcare? Big no. I've been saying for awhile that there aren't enough votes to pass it, because there's no public support. It doesn't count if it doesn't pass, remember G-Dub trying to give your SocSec money to the banking industry. It didn't pass, crisis averted.

The stimulus isn't socialism at all, it builds infrastructure, which gets built by American businesses, and that money isn't expected to be paid back, it's for services rendered. As long as the projects happen, that's the end of it. I have noticed how the Hannitized Dittohead media has completely forgotten the Bush stimulus plan, though. $300, I used mine to offset the $4.25 gasoline we had. Great idea... cut everybody a check in an election year. Where were the Tear Partiers then?

And while I actually like what Ron Paul says, he ran as a Republican, not an Independent. I have better political savvy than that, and I'm a freakin' housepainter. Not to Monday morning quarterback or anything, but everybody knew that American voters were looking to get AWAY from the whole authoritarian right-wing idiocy... he embraced it, thinking the powers that be would recognize that the financial crises had pulled the handle on the neocon toilet, and the extremist turds were starting to circle.
Bad idea. Never underestimate the power of ignorance and self-importance. ------>JMS

John, if that's what you have to tell yourself to think you are not a socialist, ok by me. Only you are just kidding yourself, not anybody here by a long shot.

Just because you hate Bush, Rush, Hannity and neocons does not change the fact that B. Hussien is a socialist.

Oh, thanks for the laugh about Ron Paul embracing the right wing.

Ok UCJ, you seem to have all the answers.

Convince me you're right. Cite specific benefits that pertain directly to me. Demonstrate how your way fixes problems we have in modern society.

Somehow I think this is going to end how all the other posts like this do, complete and total silence because you can't find a single talking-head that you listen to that has any idea how to fix anything. They only know how to bitch about how the liberals are doing it wrong.
