Post by gibson980 »

Whenever your fans and friends e-mail, text, and call you and ask if your band has a cover charge for your show and how much is it? And the other question we always get is "hey what time do you start" i swear i get this atleast one time per show. Its the same time as always retards 10:30 and $5.00. Hellllllll, just seeing if im the only one?

cover charges aren't always the same. However if someone called to ask me what it was, I wouldn't know anyway.

that's a little ridiculous. Nobody is allowed to be annoyed at things that aren't important enough for you?

"not important enough to you?" So you are saying his problem IS an important one?

Very likely his "????" and his "Hellll" was a bit over the top.. And perhaps it was tongue in cheek thread meant to elicit funny comments.

The person seemed annoyed to me. Just trying to put things into perspective. Did I go over the top ? Yes, but that was my intention at the moment. They should be happy anyone cares enough to ask. That's a good thing.

it was apparently important enough for him to post about it. I don't know how the OP feels, but if it were my thread, I would not particularly appreciate your perspective.

haha easy guys.... its just a damn question of how delirious people are. Its the same people day in and out doing it, and yes of course we are grateful to have fans. Talk about a thread getting blow out of proportion; hellllll !!!:) Damn you hardcore rockpagers get offended so easily. And hawk the general American public has more interest in MJ's funeral than any solider over there and that's sad. Thats a "real problem"

this whole thread is tongue in cheek.

i have noticed that my friends always ask me the same questions.

"you play this weekend? where at? what time? how much?"

every week. it's always the same people. oh well... they're all stoners anyhow. marijuana effects the memory. marijuana effects the memory.

on another note. i heard michael jackson died. anyone else hear about it?

just remember, gibson980 doesn't have a clue about anything anyway. he is usually too busy making sure he looks like daughtry to be interested in current events.

did i mention MJ died?

It does annoy me. I always get it too.

If they have your number. they're friends. You can call friends retards.

Just send this text back to them:

"same as always, Retard:)" If they are your friends they'll laugh and show up. If not, quit giving your phone number to everyone.

Sounds like your friends just want you to tell them that you'll get them in for free?....I have a few of those....and then There are the chics that tell the doorman that they are my wife.....You gotta love cheap chics that won't pay a cover.....

They put out....lol

I have no problem at all telling the cover and start times, etc. If they have my number, I probably gave it to them, so they're somebody I want at my shows. Some times it can come at an inopportune moment, but you take the good with the bad. Interest in your gig: good.--->JMS
