I totally agree with you man. What gets me though is the freaking love a person can have for someone like MJ, and I'm not refering to him because of his problem with kids. Example: my girlfriend is still devastated like she actually knew the man personally. She talks to her friends and mom on the phone for hours about MJ and how they miss him! I dont get it. The dude was good at what he did i'll give him that, but it shouldn't have an impact on your life! I guess if your "devastated" you must have no serious worries in your life right now.

Your right, the damn media anymore is worthless. Their priorities are efffeed up. Thats why i rarely watch the news. Wolf blitzer and larry are borning, they put me to sleep, zzzzzz. Did the media really need to cover MJ's dead body getting transfered on a helicopter? If we as a country loved this man so much then have "respect" for him. And how about the media following the jackson family after the memorial? The topic/question was "where is the family going next?" - The answer was A. Who gives a ducks ass

I still can't believe that the death of any one person should outweigh another.

Maybe I'm missing something?

This.

A week or so ago, when everybody on Rockpage was going on about celebrity deaths, I was going to make a thread quoting a statistic of "X number of people died in Africa yesterday," but opted not to.
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

The Media is fucked up. They were the ones criticizing him left and right, now he's a fucking god. Hypocrites!

Nancy Grace... all the subtlety and nuance of a glassful of Ipecac Syrup.

Oh, and McNair? Should I overlook the fact that he was riding in the car his drunk girlfriend was driving and when she was arrested, he turned his back on the whole thing? Maybe it was because his WIFE and KIDS wouldn't like the whole scenario. So much for the knight in shining armor.
Besides, he was just a sports figure who laid with a snake and got bitten. Big deal. --->JMS

Maybe his wife was like Kobe Bryant's wife. "Oh, I forgive you baby, and that big fat checking account."
"Death has come to your little town."

It's just the way the Media get's you to look at the right hand and ignore the left.
Right hand, MJ dies, left hand, the U.S.A. was attacked on July 4th by North Korea.
Great God another celebrity dies, oh yeah, I need to poop.
I consider my Nana more of a hero than anyone of these open-crappers.
BTW consider this open sarcasim.
