New gun legislation?

somebody sent this to me in an email. the email had this link to it.

the email said that Obama administration is trying to sneak gun legislation under the radar. does this hold any water? I don't know, i didn't read the whole thing yet. thought some of you might like it.

I do not know if the link is legit or not, but any gun control by the Democrats and B. Hussein would not surprise me. B.O. voted for a 500% tax on guns and ammo when he was a state senator in Illinois. His Attorney General, Eric Holder, is a long time gun control advocate.

This administration is not a supporter of the Second Amendment. I guess the First Amendment is not high on their list either, since they label folks like me who drive around with Ron Paul bumper stickers as domestic terrorists.

As an avid hunter and gun owner, I read with great interest the proposed bill and it seems that it only pertains to handguns and automatic guns. However, that still doesnt mean that Obama isnt trying to sneak something across the table hidden in strange language. This proposed bill is all about some kid in Chicago who stepped in front of a gunman to stop a girl getting killed. The gun was stolen and it had been sold to different ppl and no one was sure who the gun belonged to.
I always when buying a gun off of someone I get the serial number, the previous owner's telephone number and address, a signed reciept where we both signed attesting to the sale.
I think this bill is to suggest such things.
BUT THEN AGAIN, OBAMA IS A SNEAKY BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, this bill is legit. It was 1st submitted on 1/6/09.

In summary, they want to make it illegal to own a pistol or any weapon with an insertable ammo clip unless you have a federal license to do so.

There are several hoops to jump thru to get the license, including written tests, medical & legal record checks and a thumb print.

Of course, there will be an (undisclosed) annual fee, but it also looks like they will want a $25 update fee every time you buy or sell a specified weapon.

Most disturbing, if you are licensed under this bill, it gives them the right to inspect your home to see if you are storing your weapons safely.

I do see the negatives to it. A major hassle for anything other than letting your gun sit in the cabinet.

But money-wise its not that much and if packing up and moving your guns isn't enough of a reminder to submit an address change...

As far as manufacturers and dealers, if they are following the rules now, I doubt they will have any problems.

generally haven't the slightest clue of what they're talking about...and this
is just more proof of it. If your "mental" enough to believe this garbage so
readily...you shouldn't be allowed to own guns. It's not true. Regardless of
whatever the NRA sent you, or Foxnews tells you (Though...if you still watch
and believe Foxnews...the last thing you care about is fact)...it's not true.

i'm all for the bill. gun control is not a bad thing. i know the pro's and cons, so don't waste your time. guns should be monitored very closely. that's my opinion. thanks.

Gun control is good IMO. I believe the government is not worried about just semi-automatic pistols, there main concern is keeping the AR15 and Uzi's off the street. Yeah the AR15 is a semi, but they're worried about how many rounds it can hold compared to the average trooper carrying a .45 holding 8 rounds. Perfect example was the bank robbery back in the 90's when the two armored men had Ak47s and destroyed shit.

I wanna know who the hell wants to have a gun like that. I love guns im 23 and have 18 guns in my name, but have no desire to own an ak47; for what purpose? To say that I actually do own one to be cool? Even if you do purchase one, you'll be wasting tons of money on the range shooting paper once a year and then put it back in the case. Handguns are good for ccw and protection at home. If you want a better gun for protection in your house get a 12ga with buckshot, that'd beat anything. If you want an AR15 join the military you'll love what they have to offer...

My dad never let me use more than 2 pieces of toilet paper at a time when I was a kid, said it was "Overkill" How many sheets do you use Witch hunt?

If I'm up in the woods on my private property in the middle of nowhere bothering no one, why do you get to decide how many rounds are fired with each trigger pull, any more than you get to decide if I still have to "double over" the sheets when I wipe....

I'm not aware of any law that says otherwise; however, you cannot have the TOW system because that is the intellectual property of the US Department Of Defense.

Like I said before, if you want really good stuff like a TOW, you will simply have to design & build it yourself. If you need any help, let me know, otherwise, good luck on that.

How about knifes? Swimming pools, they kill more children than anything in the summer months. Should they be monitored? Bicycle riding kills people and children, should that be regulated and monitored?
