Post by 4_the_pocket »

Got it....like it.

I have a 1st gen iphone. Thinkin about getting the new 3GS, but may wait a little now. The 3.0 OS is free....how cool is that.

Anyone else using it?

Discuss.

I just got the i phone about a month ago and still figuring the darn thing out. I miss being able to send pics on my phone, or even being able to forward messages....I didn't like that you don't even get a manual with it and you have to make your own ringtones....overall though, I'm digging the apps that you can buy and it isn't a bad phone.
If you have an EGO, go look in the mirror, then you will realize you shouldn't.

Apple is in talks with Verizon about iPhone Bob. You might see it sooner than you think.

I dont have a cellphone.
I cant understand how and why people need apps or music or internet on something they use to CALL people. Maybe after I get one, ill understand. Ive seen so many people almost wreck their cars because they are messing with their phones.
When I get a phone, I dont even want a cam in it. Just Numbers to dial.

Just for the band my phone keeps me up to date with booking emails and web. The business side of phones nowadays can make or break you. keeping connected to your work intranet. But yeah, pull over first.

I didnt like the Storm at first until my OS update, and a couple hacks ive done.

Just get Bluetooth. No need to sit there, reach in your pocket, fish out a phone, try to open it up, and take time holding it up to your ear while you're in the car. With a Bluetooth earset, all you do is reach up to your ear and hit a button on the ear piece. Simple as Hell!

Absolutely. Im sure I could live without it, but it makes life and business much more efficient and organized. There are lots of productivity apps for musicians as well:

- mini mixers
- dB readers
- metronomes/tuners
- navigation/google maps (ever get lost going to a new gig out of town or cant find the street address?)
- store your press pack
- a private safe to keep x-rated pics of your groupies (out of the prying eyes of say...your girlfriend - ha ha)
- and many more

I sound like an apple commercial

I knew id be the minority. I wasnt trying to get you guys to justify why you use them. I know theres alot of cool features.
The next step is chips in the head, so then you wont have to waste time using your hands. Thats scary.
