Other strings?

Post by MOONDOGGY »

Have any of you bassists or guitarists ever dabbled in the other stringed instruments. I'm not just talking fiddles, mandolins, banjos, dulcimers, or other folk instruments. I'm thinking more lapsteels, lutes, or harp guitars, or even a completely different realm like touch style guitars. I always wanted to try a Chapman Stick, Mobius Megatar, or Warr guitar, but I don't have the money or brains. Has anyone out there tried anything over the top different as far as instruments, playing styles, or technique?

I play mandolin and a little lap steel. Well, it's not little, it's normal size.--->JMS
