Another Acoustic BYR Special on Sunday!!

Post by facingwest »

Hey all. I just wanted to let you know to tune in this Sunday for another BYR acoustic special. From what I understand, it's going to be another great lineup, so you don't want to miss it. ;)

This was a blast the first time we did it back in March, and I'm looking forward to Round Two!

Performers confirmed for this Sunday's Acoustic Jam Special include John Solinski, Dwane from Acid Reflux, Strummer Acoustic Show, and John Baker & Sherry Lender. A couple of other guests could drop in as well.

As I said on the first Acoustic Jam Special, I'll have to change the name of this week's program to the "Back Porch Rocker," as it felt like a gathering of friends jamming out on the back porch!

Jim, can you pass the word on to the others to bring their necessary cords, mic, and stand for this one? I'm not too sure if I'm going to be able to get all that I brought with me last time. However, I will still have the board.

Hey all, I blew off a day of flipping pizzas to come and jam with you all. Ima bring my conga, tamborine and cowbell. I'll bring my acoustic too. It's been forever since I've been to the Q-94 studio. Could someone please tell me directions from Ebensburg. I'll be taking new 22. Can't wait to jam with you all. :D

Hoo-boy, that was fun! We packed the maximum amount of talent ( and pickers) into Q-94's studio and rocked 'er down solid. Oh, and two, count 'em, TWO harmonica players... Rick Ramsey showed up the second hour and showed us how it's done. A great, great time... I hope I get to play the next one!---------->JMS

The "Backyard Rocker" Acoustic Jam Special again was a blast! Thanks to John Solinski (who also engineered and produced the performances in addition to performing himself), Red Solinski, John Baker & Sherry Lender, Dwane Edmiston and Lynn Endress from Acid Reflux, John Stevens (Strummer Acoustic Show) and Rick Ramsey for heating it up on the air! (Thanks Lynn for lending me the shaker egg so I could take part in the jams too!) Thanks also to Paul Miller for the use of the soundboard.

The next Acoustic Jam Special will take place on March 13, 2005, the Sunday following the "Backyard Rocker" 7th anniversary special!

Yetch! Awesome show. I mean that Dwayne guy wasn't half bad...but that John guy..he was.. well.. he was bald. ::grins::

Sounded good from what we got to hear of it guys! (Damn those places that Q94 don't come through good at).

Songsmith.. ::pokes:: See? Why don't you yell at Rick over the harmonicas too? Hmmm.. ?::looks back at self:: Face it Esa, you're a girl. Le-sigh. ::grins::

Hey he's cute, I guess, but a girl-singer, or girl-drummer, or girl-anything is pretty hard to compete with!---->JMS

I had an awsome time. I was so nervous and excited. It was truely a privilage to be in the same room with so much talent. You all RULE. After the show, I went to the Hitching Post to jam with the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes were on fucking fire last night. I got to play the conga, tamborine, cowbell, drums and guitar with them. Those guys are flat out one of the best bands I have ever heard. They were so amazing to jam with. They play with so much soul and dynamics. Rick Ramsey was awsome last night too. Ricky rocked on guitar and even played a song on drums. There was another guy there from the studio with an Ovation acoustic (I forgot his name). He was awsome too. He played the guitar as well as some drums and percussion. I could go on and on. Damn, I need to get out more. The best musical expierence I've had in a long time. My hands are so swelled up and sore from playing my conga. It was definately worth every second of it. Thank you so very much JP for letting me be a part of it. I hope I can be a part of the next one.

I really wish I could've made it out. However, I've been promising Bighead that I'd work on his website and didn't want to let him down. Besides, I had to take his board we used back to him. From what I understand, you guys play at the Post every Sunday night, so I'll make it a point and come out and see you guys again. The last time I saw you was awsome!!
