Esa and I were in attendence last evening for John Solinski's first ever solo act at The Bar in Altoona. Let me tell you, if anyone doubted him - for shame! He played with as much enthusiasm as ever and nothing seemed to fall short. It was amazing.
Congradulations John, we knew you had it in ya!

In the 16 years of playing, that was my first attempt solo and was very uncomfortable. The show earlier at 7 Springs went a lot better. I just have to modify things a little and hopefully people will have fun.

That's when you start to brush up on your Chet Atkins chops.the herald wrote:yea.... especially when you go to bust out a lead and realize you have no one there to play the chords but you adapt after a couple shows, rock on!!!!!!!!!!
Keep rockin', John. I'll try to come check you out if you're back at the Anchor Inn anytime soon.

The last time we played the Anchor Inn, 2 people came out. So we ended up only playing 1 set and I gave Sue a break on coinage.

I honestly don't think you two ever played there. Jae and I had come out to hear you at Anchor back in May and I think there was a stop up June area? And you guys weren't there. So.. I think you fib when you say you're playing there...
