I never drank one, but my wife drinks the Sheetz one in the silver can with red letters. if i need something i'll usually grab a cup of joe.

i'm a little scared of those things for some reason.

What a huge, unbelievable waste of money.

New product proposal in the boardroom:

"People pay $1 for 3 cents worth of that sugar water we sell...uh, what's it called?"

"Pepsi"

"Yeah, Pepsi. So, let's double the caffeine and add a few cheap, marginally nutritional ingredients to sugar water and market it as an 'Energy Drink'. You gotta figure people will pay double--maybe even triple over what they are paying for sugar water."

"Great idea. What about flavors?"

"People won't believe its actually doing anything if it tastes too good, so we will need R&D to come up with a new, bad-tasting, yet palatable artifical flavoring.........."

I have high blood pressure now, so these are off-limits, but I have a pretty low tolerance for caffeine anyway. One Red Bull, and I'd be clinging to the ceiling for 3 hours. DMFJ's poison, Monster, comes in what appears to be a 4-gallon party-keg. One of those and I'd either spontaneously combust, or be up the the Texas tower with a sniper rifle.

I do marvel at how popular they are despite the taste. Fun fact: Merthiolate has always worked well as a topical antiseptic, but didn't sell at all until they added enough witch hazel to make it sting like a biatch. Like it had to hurt to work.

gotta agree with mjb and lonewolf on this one.

kinda scary that nowadays we need "energy drinks" and we are the fattest, laziest country on the planet.

Don't get me wrong, you know I love America but WTF?

Our kids are being trained to need energy drinks to get through the day...

I like the green Amp Energy ones made by Mountain Dew. I've become immune to them over the years I can drink one then go right to bed.

Turkey bombs sounds like what you get if a flock of turkeys fly overhead and they all got bowel issues.
