I'm kind of intrigued by all the talk about Behringer equipment.
I'd like to know more..
List what you owned that soured your taste for them.
Be more constructive and creative than just "it sucks", "I heard this from this one guy", or "I got something used and it died on me". If thats all you got, then your opinion is of no use to me.
I'd like to know exactly:
What it was (function, model, etc).
What you had similar to it before you got the Behringer.
What went wrong with it.
What you replaced it with, and did that have any issues.
Behringer issues
I have a behringer stomp box, and a behringer DI box, both have worked well, though they are obviously not up to the quality of some other manufacturers, they are like 1/8th the price though.
I did try a couple of their bass amps in stores and thought they sounded like complete ass.
I have a behringer EP2500 Power amp that has performed absolutely flawlessly. For the price of these things, I will probably never buy a power amp from another manufacturer.

I have a RX1202FX rack mixer, a Xenyx 1202FX mixer, a reference microphone for pinking, a Feedback Destroyer Pro and a B212A powered speaker.
The only thing that was a replacement was the rack mixer for an Alesis Multimix 12R + it freed up one of my Boss VF1 FX boxes along with 1/2 rack space so I could add a Telex IEM transmitter. The Alesis doesn't have FX.
They are all worth twice what I paid for them. The only problem I had was with the rack mixer. A mounting screw came off the power supply assembly and the PSA was flopping around inside. I just took it apart and put lockwashers on everything that was metal to metal and it works fine.
The only unit I gig with is the rack mixer. The Xenix is a 4 mic scratchpad mixer for band practice and home recording. The preamps are drop dead quiet and transparent on both units. The FX are adequate, but nothing to write home about.
When used properly, the Feedback Destroyer works surprisingly well and doesn't affect the sound at all. I recommend it for any band having feedback problems with their monitors.
The B212A has decent volume and lots of bass--I usually roll it off. I wouldn't use it as a main speaker, but they make great powered monitors for drums & vocals. Since we've been using IEMs, it makes a good practice PA with the Xenyx mixer. It takes a mic & has EQ, so this is a good speaker for a vocalist looking for a practice PA that will double as a stage monitor.

3x MDX1400 compressor. After about 3 months of use, one took a shit, will not power on. Other two are still working. OK compressor for $89 or whatever they cost.
3 x DCX2496 digital crossover. One has the frying bacon problem occasionally on output #6. (makes a static sound about 10-20dB over the noise floor). Other two have been pretty good.
2 x DEQ2496 digital equalizer and RTA. One was acquired from ebay... had major issues. It would power on and off randomly after about 2 hours of use. The other I bought from a reputable retailer, have had zero issues, and is probably one of the best pieces of equipment Behringer makes.
4 x C-2 matched condenser microphones. Excellent mics, highly recommended.

Wanted something that was powered and relatively compact, for ease of
hauling. Has been used for a few hundred shows, including working great
for outdoor things, hauled all over the place, took a major or spill out the

totally trusted with packing!), etc. and have never had the slightest issue.

Xenyx 2442fx - This piece has been my main mixer for 3 years. Scratch that, it's been my only mixer. I love it!!!! Pre's are dead quiet and have pretty decent headroom. I use this to mix my own band, and for side jobs I pick up mixing for other bands. My only gripes are that I wish they made a mixer with 16 xlr channels in this series (the 24 only has 10 xlr inputs), but I bought a peavey 4 channel mixer to jump into the stereo channel for micing toms. Wish I had gotten a Behr for this purpose. And for my purposes, I wish they'd scrapped the subgroups for more monitoring channels.... I've taken to IEM's and I'll never go back.... Wish I could give everyone in the band their own mix. But I guess it does make more sense for Behr to use the subs to sell to a more diverse group of customers.
EP2500 - Got this around the same time as the mixer. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Used both pieces under torturous conditions, and neither have ever let me down for a split second.
Active direct box - I don't recall the model number, but this is a great piece of gear as well.
I don't really understand why everyone is always griping about what garbage gear Behr is.... Like I've said, I've tortured this stuff, and can not complain at all.
As a partial hijack, check out the Carvin IEM's. All metal pack like the Shure 900, but costs $350. Love that piece too....

Seeming like the dreaded Behringer stuff...not so bad...especially
for the price.
Would I use one of their amps over what I have, or something of
known high quality? Prolly not...but a tube amp is a touchier issue
than, say, a mixer.
Considering how much I've heard that Mackie, and other higher-priced
sound gear has dropped in quality, lends Behringer even more credibility.

I have some Behr stuff, but I couldn't begin to remember the model#'s without looking.
3x- Large Diaphragm Cardioid condenser mics--- Mama Corn uses them live, on vocals and instruments... they're as prone to feedback as any condenser on a stage 4 feet away from the house spkrs, but otherwise flawless and FAR better than expected.
1- Large Diaphragm Multi-pattern condenser mic--- Also a great value, the others were $99 ea. and this one was $129, I think. It adds omni and figure-8 patterns to the cardioid.
1- 4-channel headphone amp, HA800?--- I just got this one a month ago, and it works as advertised
1- Dual-channel Feedback Eliminator, FB2496?--- Looks pretty whiz-bang, and it quiet, but takes too long to dick with at shows... I'd rather have a decent EQ
I worked at a few electronics repair places over the years, all of which got Behr stuff to fix... from what I hear, Behr's business model is pretty much like TV manufacturers-- when it breaks, they're cheap, get a new one.--->JMS

I have a Behringer 2442fx mixer, i love it. 2 behringer Sharks (mic preamps) love them, GMX210 guitar amp and I love it and it sounds great. A Behringer Ultra Q Pro 5 band parametric EQ, I don't need it, works great and its for sale. And the last thing I think ?? is a USB sound converter and it works great. Geez I can't find it. I like all my Behringer stuff. The mixer is awsome for 400 bux. Has everything on it. I like the sub groups and direct out cause I use it for recording. Behringer stuff is great till it breaks then you throw it away if its out of warranty. Some things are fixable !!! My GMX210 guitar amp freakin rocks, it has 2 amps lots of preset effects. The back panel is loaded with ins and outs for effects and recording and this damn thing crunches like really great. It has midi in and out so i bought the Behringer midi foot controler and i can run thru my presets and switch back and fourth between the duel amps. They are twin 30 watt amps in there. It also has biult in tuner. Guess thats it. Any Questions ???????????????????????????????????????
