i haven't known harry for more than a few years, but from the first time to the last time i've seen him, he was always smiling. he had great stories, great jokes, and was a great guy. he will be missed on this plane of existence, but we can all have peace of mind knowing that he's jamming in a great band in another.
Can you identify a genital wart?
I met Harry back when Generation Gap started through my freinds Brian Elliott and Ed Murvine, Harry and I always hit it off since the that day we met. He would make me laugh, quick with a joke and always had a kind word to say about people, and as many said already always smiling. Harry would be doing a show and we would talk after the show until the place closed and a few times talk outside after it was locked up.
I WILL MISS YOU MY FRIEND, RIP.

B (nakedtwister) called me today. He and Ed (generatioingap) were talking about doing something for Harry - or in the name of Harry.
B's PC is down, so he hasn't been on RP.
They were thinking of getting together some Sunday afternoon, like around 3:00 and they were thinking someplace like 30 Something.
This is just in the "thinking" mode. Claudio hasn't been contacted.
Perhaps we can set up some equipment, have lunch together and talk of the good times with Harry, and jam a little.
Perhaps it could be some kind of a benefit for something in Harry's name.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

Harry Walter Memorial Tribute - A celebration of life!
Thanks everyone. Brian and I will talk later today and then we'll talk to Claudio to pick a date (soon) (if it's OK with Claudio).
Does anyone know of anything going on, on an upcoming Sunday that would conflict with this memorial tribute to Harry ? We hope to do it when everyone is available to join in.

One of my favorite Harry moments was this past summer at Delgrosso's Park. Rick Wertz's band was playing while Hawk, Nakedtwister, MJB, MistikalVaylkrie, Harry, and I hung around checking out all of the talent that was on stage. Harry was one of the most positive people I've met in the local scene and was always ready with a funny insight. He was a tasteful bass player and a great harmony vocalist. I still remember seeing the Generation Gap and how much their harmonies knocked me out.
Harry will be missed. Keep rockin', bass brother.

Here's the plan:
30 Something
Sunday May 17th starting at 3:00
Have a bite to eat and share some "Harry" stories. Some acoustic music in the background.
Followed by a jam.
NO Benefit - NO Money... that was how Harry would want it. Just a celebration of (Harry's) life !
PLEASE check out this in the section "Upcoming Events"
Thank You,
Bill

Hawk, this is the best post you have ever made. Harry would love this kind of thing. Great idea, especially for a progressive rock drummer.Hawk wrote:Here's the plan:

Thanks Joe. This was an idea from Brian Elliot and Ed Murvine and Mike Borstnar and myself.undercoverjoe wrote:Hawk, this is the best post you have ever made. Harry would love this kind of thing. Great idea, especially for a progressive rock drummer.Hawk wrote:Here's the plan:

Word..........

Come help make this a day Harry would be proud of and have his big smile and that grin of his shine down on us once more.
He would love to have his dear friends and musicians think of him in this way....
Theres no other way it should be.
I still have tears come to my eyes when I think of Harry
God bless you Harry Walter you will never be forgotten
Your never too young or too old to Rock n Roll
I met Harry several years ago the same time I met Bill (Hawk). I loved Harry right from the start. He made me laugh every time I saw him. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. I can remember several times when He, Bill came up trying to put something together and we just couldnt find the last right piece of the puzzle. It never bummed him out and he said thet the right guy would come along. Sad to say it never happened and we all found other gigs. But thgose were some of the best and funnest times I ever had practicing. It was like do you know this one Harry? And he would say sure I do and off we would go. He will be sadly missed by everyone who ever came in contact with him.
