Just a few words for the Hurricanes
Just a few words for the Hurricanes
I don't know of any band that shares the stage like the Hurricanes.
Incredibly talented yet incredibly humble. Felix is so open to bringing other guitar players to the front and he has the ability to make them all look / sound good.
Bobby...invites drummers to play his kit...that is so cool.
Jeff and Pat always look eager to put a smile on someone by sharing the stage.
I'm a little "moody" today, but all of life is about sharing and the 'canes do it at the most fundamental level. Through their music, through their love of people.
And I don't know of ANY band that plays more benefit shows than the 'canes.
We all hope / want you to win the Blues Contest - you already won us over.
Simply put - thanks for being so kind !

Word!
I remember one of my first "shows" was my crappy punk band sharing the stage with the hurricanes and The Grimm! They treated us like equals, even though we were very green. They also helped get us into Peter C's to play our first ever show.
Good luck fella's!

I agree I have been blessed to share the stage with these talanted musicians. If anyone has earned this win it is them. They have never missed a chance to give back to the community. Let's all support our the Hurricans in this next step. Good Luck guys you are truly the best you will be in my prayers. Debbie

Well said, Bill. It was October 1993 when I moved to PA, and July 1994 when I walked in to (then) New Sebastiano's for the first time, and saw this huge dude onstage literally tearing the guts out of his guitar. I knew right then that I had to share the stage with Felix. 15 years later and I still am from time to time. Felix, Jeff, and Bobby are the most giving musicians I know. And you can't forget the alums, like Johnny McKnight, Billy Nusom, Phil (I could never remember his last name), and Jason. Class acts, all.
Dood...
