I built a intel duel core 2.8, 4 gigs of ram, 260 gig hard drive for the OS and a teribite for audio storage. USB ports are intel chip based, onboard duel monitirs. I have the capability to upgrade to quad core when and if i need to. If I go quad core and run 64 bit I can use 8 gigs of ram which is not nessary for audio. I'm running a Tascam 1641 audio interface.

I use LJC computers for buying all my computer stuff. He really did his homework finding me what i got for the price. If you biuld one i'll help you out if you need it, I have a bunch of papers here on how to setup windows for audio recording.

If you want to know anything else give me a shout. GARY

I haven't built one for awhile and I might go over to the dark side with an AMD AM3 system this time. The only part I have picked up so far is a high-qualty ATX12V 500 watt power supply.

I'm waiting for a Newegg special on a mobo with the HD3300 graphics chipset.

Never buy parts on eBay unless its from companies like Spartantech.com
