I'll be getting Shadows Fall-The War Within and Green Day-American Idiot. I'd like to get the new live King Diamond and Keith Urban-Be Here, but my $$ will probably limit me to SF and GD.

I picked up Dio's new CD "Master of the Moon" and Motley Crue's "Music to Crash Your Car To: Vol. II" this weekend and they both kick major ass. You can't go wrong with Jeff Pilson on bass and Craig Goldy returning to play guitar with Dio. Great album. The Crue box set is interesting if you like to hear a lot of demo material and unreleased songs like I do. All I gotta say is the demo for Dr. Feelgood is WAY different than what made the album. Good pickup if you're a Crue fan or a fan of demos and unreleased material from bands.

I'm also anxiously awaiting the new Silent Force CD (their 3rd effort) due for release on Oct. 15 on Noise Records. Silent Force is a power metal band featuring ex-ROYAL HUNT singer D.C. Cooper, who is a local guy (from Bedford County).
If you have never heard him, he's an amazing singer - in fact he was voted the top male vocalist in Japans Burrn magazine years ago while he was fronting the European power metal band "Royal Hunt" (Royal Hunt is huge in Europe, but aren't very well known on these shores). It is also widely acknowledged that Cooper almost got the nod over Ripper Owens to replace Halford in Judas Priest years ago.
Sorry if this sounds like a press release, but not many people around here know of this guy, and he's from our own backyard! I highly recommend that you check him out. For a sample of his music:

Motley Crew - Music to crash you car to - Vince knows all to well about that!
Anyway, I just picked up a cd by the band CROSSFADE. I highly recommend it. Matt Pinfield is their A&R guy...remember him from MTV and that other music show that he did.
I want to get the new Static-X cd...it's a cd of unreleased songs from their early years.
Other than that, there hasn't been much good music released lately.

Saw Cooper
I saw Cooper a few years ago in the Burg. at a prog festival he is indeed a good singer BUT the falsetto stuff got old for me in a short time. Hey that's my opinion
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

Yea, the new Dio is great. Def. one of the best albums out this year so far.Victor Synn wrote:I picked up Dio's new CD "Master of the Moon" and Motley Crue's "Music to Crash Your Car To: Vol. II" this weekend and they both kick major ass.
