There are a ton of guitar plugins. Guitar Rig 3, Amplitube 2 & all its related plugins, Overloud Th1, Line 6 Gearbox & their Pod Farm plugins and Revalver 3. Thats the go to gtr plugin for many metal guys.
Alot of guys use impulses instead of each program's cab sim. Impulses are the way to go!

There are even free plugins like these most of the popular ones are based from certain amps. Like SoloC which is a SLO 100 head based plugin....theres Wagner Sharp ..which is a Bogner based plugin...and also a brand new plugin based on Peavey's 5150 called the 7170 Lead. The 3 plugins i named are just the preamp, and need cab simulation. Another time to use impulses. Theres a free impulse prog alot of guys use made by a company called Voxengo. Its Boogex & Comes with stock impulse responses, but id suggest using ones made by a guy named GuitarHack. Impulse responses are made from the real cabinets.

face it. originality is dead. and the last company to consider original in this time is fender. they started a great thing with the strat and tele and the concepts that fender used to create them. but nowadays there are better options that sound and play better. not to mention, g&l is more fender than fender these days, so... i dunno, take it for what it's worth...

Same as Harley Davidson, Gibson, Marshall, Mesa, etc...
...all merely a shadow of what they were, and we are paying for the name most times.

It's still kinda cool to have that kind of tone right in front of you. I'd be curious to hear if they are as close to the original as they say.

I'm not sure how G&L is more Fender than Fender, considering both companies have exactly 0% Leo Fender working there.
