Carvin BX500 & BX600 bass amp heads - any reviews?
I was checking out the Carvin BX500, BX600, & BX1200 bass amp heads online. They seem to have lots of features at a great price. I and many of my friends have used Carvin equipment in the past with high praises. Since there is no way to test drive these amps, I was wondering if anybody on here has used these amps and what are the reviews on them?

Kent (Grimmbass) has the BX1200 and it sounds really good. Everyone I talk to says that the new Carvin series of bass amps are killer and blow the Redline series out of the water. I've heard many people compare the B1500 to the Aguilar DB750. When considering price-to-quality ratio, I don't think that you can go wrong.
The BX500 has definitely piqued my interest for those smaller gigs where I wouldn't want the hassle of my full rack.

I have some Carvin equipment and have been happy with it. Many of my friends use Carvin amps, guitars, and P.A.'s and are very happy with them. However, without a local dealer to try out an amp, I am hesitant to buy one. The other issue is with sending it back for repairs even thought I know they have great customer service.
The nice things with the Acoustic amps are that I already tried them and like one in particular, they have a 3 year warranty (best I have seen), a 45 day try it out and keep it or send it back policy, and there is, at least, a place in Pittsburgh for repairs.
