Ive never played through one but the other night I over heard a guy say when they start making all tube halfstacks for under $500 he would give up his Crate :P

Yeah, it sounds low but it might be on sale, or they simply dont have to sell it high to profit?? read; cheap labor, cheap parts.

But as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.

As far as the Crate thing, well.... :lol:

You couldn't give me a crate, they are junk. Peavey does have some nice things. I might look into that myself.

it's a single channel amp, though, that's probably why it's so inexpensive.

i've heard some decent sounding crate stuff. i'd take a higher end crate over a peavy any day, though. i've never been a fan of the peavy sound. actually, the new vampyr modeling stuff looks good. it's a peavy that doesn't sound like a peavy. sign me up.
