Song Ideas??

Post by REDillon »

Okay, I'm sure there are many of you who could give a rats ass, but I'm posing the question of what songs you might like to hear an all bitch band spew. I need some divine intervention or liquor.

I'd cover it myself, but I don't think I could pull it off.
Stand back, I like to rock out.

Kind of obscure, but it would bring me to immediate attention if a local female act ever tackled anything by Girlschool. Extra kudos if they tackled Girlschool's version of Motorhead's "Bomber." (I have the import "Motor-school" EP circa 1980 with both bands playing together; totally kickass!)

Other stuff that might be cool for a local female act to cover:

From the '70s - Fancy "Wild Thing" or "Touch Me"
From the '70s - Runaways "Cherry Bomb"

From the '90's - Drain STH

Pretenders - "Precious", "Tattooed Love Boys", "Talk of the Town", "Middle of the Road", "Kid", etc.
(If you do not have Chryssie Hynde in the setlist, you kitties need to step up!)

Girlschool & Runaways - what JP said....

Queensryche - "Roads to Madness" 8)

Pink Floyd - "The Great Gig in the Sky"

Chaka Khan - "Lady Marmalade"

Annie Lennox - whatever trips your trigger

Stevie Nicks - "Edge of Seventeen"

Fleetwood Mac - "Gold Dust Woman"

Heart - "Crazy on You"

TNT/Tony Harnell - good luck.....

It seems that most people dig our heavy material more than the "chick stuff." When we do Rage Against the Machine and System of Down or Marilyn Manson/Eurythmics, Limp Bizkit or Toadies people love it. When we do the Go-Go's or chick oriented shit, people don't seem to care as much, they wanna hear me scream.

We're not your typical chick/band. We do Jackyl's, She Loves My Cock and AC/DC's Big Balls. And, YES, the rumors are true. I do have a nice set of tes-TEE-ecals that I flop on stage and the mic stand makes a very nice "stand in penis." (Which is a great band name by the way).

We're looking for some heavy crap that's different and will keep people's attention.

Thanks for suggestions. There are many I'll be giving a listen & possibly trying out. Keep em coming.

Big Ten Inch Record by Aerosmith. Hearing a woman sing would make me laugh, nailing it would really kick ass. The irony of a woman singing double-entendres about her dick... you probably wouldn't forget that if you saw it.

I still want to see someone doing Hit The Lights or Am I Evil by Metallica. I saw a band do them years ago, and they ruled balls.

Oh, and Iron Fist, by Motorhead.--->JMS

Hey

Post by THEM BONES »

In MTP we used to do a coked up version of Heart's "Barracudda" It's really easy to heavy up cause the guitar riff already crushes, plus the crowd loved it.

.....Warlock would be cool too. (Dora Pesch!!)

You should ask user Credospeak. Seems like he has some advice.
