There is no reason ANYONE working 40 hours a week in this country should have to worry about health care or paying everyday bills.
There's no reason one man should have 5 30-40 thousand dollar vehicles and a 500 thousand dollar house while he pays his employee's dirt.
There's no reason that some people pay there financial advisor more than I make in a year to decide what he should do with all his money.
Theres 's no way lower income people should be raped of there lives barely holding there head above water while busting there ass to try to make a living.
And the sad thing is that neither candidate will do anything for this, I don't know if a good candidate got in office and wanted to do this could, all the senate and house is made up of greedy crooks and won't let anything worth while pass anyway.
Issues for Me are Health care, taxes, imports ( the biggest ), minimum wage ( needs raised )
We live in a world that sends a volunteer firefighter into a burning building for nothing and the same towns mayor collects a big pay check.
I could go on but I think my blood pressure is getting too high!

It seems that every time I agree with a conserative on a fiscal issue, they always make a comment about how, "I am seeing the light" or something.lonewolf wrote:You are further along than I had expected. While we're on the subject of pork - wasn't there a big controversy some years ago about the government buying a hammer for 300 dollars? That's why I think we should privitize as much as possible. Nothing's going to help the economy better than opening up thousands of jobs to the private sector. Getting those government jobs requires a large amount of social politics/nepotism anyways. That reminds me......
Bassist-25's Guide to Job Hunting in Central Pennsylvainia
Step 1. Go to your dictionary and look up the word nepotism
Step 2. Drop out of whatever post-secondary courses you are currently enrolled in. Even if you are one week away from earning a doctrate degree; it isn't worth shit around here, anyways.
Step 3. Go to the court house and have your last name changed to something that will guarantee you employment. Make sure it's a name that the human resources people will recognize. Don't worry if you're competeting with a person whom holds a PHd and has 20 years experience. Remember, if they don't have the right last name, it isn't worth shit.
Step 4. Watch the job offers roll in.

Seriously, byndrsn, you're being a jack-ass. I've never insulted you. I had already admitted to being wrong by calling lonewolf a fucking moron a long time ago, and appoligized for it. You're just pissed off because I support Kerry and don't share your political views. You have one vote, so go and use it in Nov. and I'll do the same.
Oh and by the way, just because you've been set in your ways politically for a decade does not mean that you're right. Bassist_25 seems to be very intelligent, and makes a lot of great points. I certainly wouldn't call him too intelligent for his own good.
What you do with your time is your business and I don't care at all. It was just an observation I made that you like to spend a lot of time praising bush and trying to push your assinine beliefs upon those whose minds that you are not going to change.

Hey - I'm good at being a jack-ass!!!
I don't think you need to stick up for Bassist_25, he knows me and knows that I was in no way insulting his intelligence! Right Paul!
Anyway, your posts make my day!! I just have to wonder if you are always so angry or if it is politics that make you like that?

I talked with this crazy Limbaugh worshipper last night. When he found out that we agreed on many fiscal issues, he was amazed at how much he had in common with this cat whom has some liberal views.

Because there's no fee, unless we get money for you.
(He's still a lot cooler than the Berger & Green guy. C'mon, is there anything more tacky than a lawyer commercial that projects flaming cars and falling dollar bills onto a green screen?)

You know, I agree with some of what tonefight has said...I think heathcare should be something that is available to all people that work full time 40 hours a week. It's only fair to those that bust thier asses on a day to day basis.
As for the rich people...Hey, if you work hard, get a good degree, land yourself in a nice position somewhere and make a ton of money..more power to ya, that's what this country is about. A system like ours is set up so people can use thier minds and excel at what they do and prosper. As soon as you take that away from them, they will go elsewhere and the economy will fail due to the lack of it's founding principles. This country is about free enterprise and making the best of your self. You will probably find that most low income households have not so great education levels, drug or alcohol related problems, child problems and so on...get out there, raise your kids good, get educated and get a good job. Education is what it is all about.
Minimum wage could come up a little but that will help no one...what about the people that make more than minimum wage? What about the inflation problem that could occur if you raise it too much? That could be a good debate.
