Anyone hear anymore about Louie's After Dark??

We just got word that Louie's HAS been sold, but no word on if it is going to continue to be a live music venue..
Throwing caution right out the window.

I don't understand why they ever put bands in there. I think a prerequisite of any venue should be a stage, or at least a drum riser. Also, the shoddy wiring that was hooked into a 100 A breaker. Who needs pyro, with the right amount of par cans, you can make sparks of your own.

The last time Shift played there they had a nice 50 Amp plug on the wall and a "mini distro" to plug into it. It was done very nicely.

I know what you mean about the stage, but every time we played there it was a blast.

Exactly, a 50A plug, #8 wire, on a 100 A breaker. I'm not up on my NEC, but if you stuck enough par cans on that, the place would light up like a Great White concert.

I see what you mean now. I wasn't aware of the 100A breaker. We only carry 1500W of lights so it didn't bother us.
