The Allman Brothers at Star Lake this past Sunday night - unreal! This band's talent schooled everybody in the house, they smoked! Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes did amazing things with their guitars all night, and made it look so damn easy! Oteil Burbridge did a bass playing clinic in the middle of "Mountain Jam," again unreal! If you are a fan of true musicianship, kick yourself if you missed this show!
Also very cool that you could purchase a recording of the show afterward; $25 for a 3-disc set - not bad!
And hats off to Ronny D for being the first person to get me to blow coffee out of my nose at Dean's Diner! I haven't laughed that incredibly hard in a long time, my gut is still hurting!
