TOP TEN BANDS ,AND WHY

I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF ANY BODY ELSE HAS NOTICED THAT THE SAME BANDS ARE ALWAYS NUMBER1 2 3 .IT'S LIKE THIS,THERE HOME PAGES ARE NEVER UP DATED THEY REALLY NEVER PLAY AND THERE GUEST BOOKS ONLY HAVE A FEW HITS A WEEK. THEN HOW CAN THE BE SO DISHONEST ,I THINK IT IS UNFAIR TO THE BANDS THAT DESERVE TO BE THERE CAN'T ,JUST FOR THE GREED ,AND THE MANTALTY OF LOOK AT US WERE NUMBER ONE ,GIVE US A BREAK GUYS YOUR NOT SABBATH OR SLAYER THANK YOU ANTHRAX

Good question, I've often wondered that myself. You are talking about the bands on this site, right?

Seems to me that it's all about visibility. Casual rockpage surfers may come to the site, and right there are 10 bands that they may or may not check out. But those bands on the front page will get more casual hits than any others.

Nobody is coming off like they are "SABBATH OR SLAYER", they are just trying to keep their bands visible. Besides, how do you know that those hits aren't a mix of bands hitting themselves AND casual hits?

If you want your band on the front, have your fans put you there. It's as simple as that. More hits=more visibility. Promotion is everything.
