Corkscrew help
Corkscrew help
What's a good way to get a cork out of a wine bottle without a corkscrew? Someone gave me a corked bottle and I don't want to buy a corkscrew cause I'd probably never use it again.

I'm personally a fan of the screw tops. They're nice if you just want to drink a glass and not have to put a bottle stop in after you're done. You sometimes don't know if you have a screw top or a traditional corked bottle until you go to open it, though.

I tried the tree method. Didn't work. Now the bicycle hook did work. Problem is it's the worst wine I ever tasted. No wonder he gave it away.

Sears Craftsman vice grips that work like pliers. They don't lock in place with hands off like vice grips, but I think they have a new model out that does.metalchurch wrote:Hahaha!witchhunt wrote:I'd maybe try that AFTER I drank the wine.metalchurch wrote:Screw driver?

Jeff's method sounds like it will work perfectly.
Either robo grips or vice grips.
What are robo grips?

#1) Blast the top of the bottle off with a pistol.. preferably something above .40 S&W.. beware of collateral damage (it'll be hard to explain the bullet in the back of grandmas head)
#2) Most important...filter out any glass shards with your front teeth as you drink.... ***Don't try this if you live in WV the glass shards will mess you up once you consume them....

Some pocket knives have one on them but I am guessing the juice is drank by now!
