Whats the deal with cigarettes lately?

The last few weeks I've noticed that if I'm smoking a cigarette, and it goes a minute between drags, the damn thing goes out.

I thought that I just got a bad pack, cause it happens sometimes...
Then I thought that maybe I need to pack them, which I never do..
They were still doing it.

I finally asked my girlfriend, but she hasnt smoked since the morning she found out that she was preggo...
She told me that the companies put somethng in them to self extinguish.

Not sure the reasoning on that one?
Might help drunks to not burn themselves?
Or cut back on second hand smoke? (Thats my guess, anyway...)

All's I know is that it's pissing me off

Anyone else have this problem?
I smoke Marlboro Reds, so is anyone else experiencing the same thing as me?

Maybe it's a conspiracy brought forth by Marlboro, and the Bic corp. so they can sell more lighters?

Its an additive that's put into cigs, so they dont burn themselves out. Because PA has the public smoking ban, more people are going out for a quick puff or two. Its been in NY cigs for a while, at least that's what I'm told. ( I quit the damn things years ago) And some people up here in the twin tiers preferred PA smokes, because they didn't have the additive. Guess that's out the window.

damn fsc cigs. the burn out while i'm smoking them, and the keep burning if i sit them in the ashtray. what a load of shit. what ever happened to the real "fire safe cigarettes?" i think the called them "being careful"

Yeah, my husband didn't find out about the new smokes until he complained to the store clerk thinking it was an old carton of cigs that he had the last time he purchased them....She told him that NY had a law that they could only sell these types and that its moving into PA now.

Speaking of the ban though...we haven't noticed a drop in business. That's good. There is a listing that you can find online on the Dept of Health's page that shows which bars were approved for the exceptions. All others have to be smoke free until they get the approval at this point.

I still think they missed the opportunity to make some money on this issue by not issuing a smoking license and have building owners pay for the privilege to allow smoking. Oh well...they don't listen to me.

If you drive dow to Cumberland MD and just go over the bridge to WV there are several outlets with cheap FSC free cigs....

Also the booze is cheaper.... I get a 1/2 Gallon of Absolute Vodka for like $14.99 when it's on sale.....

I don't smoke (cigs) but this even ruins what we use to do with them.
When we rode dirts bike we use to go to the top of the ridge on the bike trail and let one burn on a large rock that had a bowl shape and add a 1/2 stick to the end. You could be back in town and sitting there and BOOOM!!

I hate adding anything to our intake but if it saves some kids life who is sleeping upstairs while mom/dad passes out on the couch with a smoke, I'm all for it. Its happen here locally with a whole family lost.

We kinda have a bar here, its in my friends basement lol. Well, when we get drinking, it ends up getting packed like the Gman used to on thursday nights. You should see the cell phone video clips.
