An Opportunity for redemption...

The END OF SUMMER JAM will be this weekend, starting at noon Saturday and Sunday August 21 & 22 at the Cresson Sportsmen's club. For the hundreds of Rockpage members who could have made, but missed the outstanding Rockpage Jam, here is an opportunity to redeem yourselves. 12 bands, 2 days $10.

For those of you who have never experienced this venue, ya gotta check it out. The show area is surrounded by woods and a lake with a view of mountains to the west. There is plenty of under-roof pavillion area and you can even bring a tent or RV and camp out if you like. There will be food and soft drinks for sale at the show. Bring your own alcoholic beverages.

What time do the festivities start on saturday and sunday? I haven't been able to find this out.

The show starts 12 noon both days.

At least two more bands have been added to the bill; Smokin' Guns from Maryland and Trace Moran. Plus, although not confirmed yet, there's a strong possibility Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys will be performing as well. Hopefully Fatvin can confirm this as he checks with his bandmates.

I talked to my guys and if the Sat. night slot is still open, we'd sure like to play, I have a call in to Mickey to that effect but have yet to hear from him on it.

If we get the slot, any NightCrawlers who wanna come and sit in are perfectly welcome to do so.

Thanks Vin.....you rock. It was a great pleasure to meet you yesterday and have the chance to chat. We are playing at The Saloon in State College Saturday night and would not be able to make it Saturday. We are available Sunday if anything opens up. If not....there is always next time. I suspect after the Rockpage Jam we will all be seeing each other in the future. If you ever get into State College on any Thursday night please come sit in with us at The Phyrst. In fact, that goes for anyone we met at Rockpage Jam.

I agree on the weather comment. I just hope it isn't as cold as it was last year when we took place. Damn, was it cold! I had to run to the local Wal-Mart and buy a sweatshirt and jeans. Here's hoping things go according to plan.
