~*~Greenhouse Park Rock the Hizzouse~*~

Post by esa »

I had an awesome time tonight watching all the bands and hearing the different sounds. All age show. Two stages to watch bands. Minimal problems. Good tunes. Beer! New people met. Old friends to talk to. No rain. Even warmed up a bit for the day.

I had an awesome time. Whoever missed it, don't miss next year! It's worth the money to get in.

Added bonus? That's the first time I've been to the park without having to work the beer tent! (The yearly CC ABATE Welcome Party for Thunder in the Valley...by 10pm I'm so sticky from the beer heaving I don't ever think I'll be unstuck again!)

Kudos go out to the bands, security, staff, etc. for making Rock the House happen.

Yes!

Great time. Ran into many old friends, drank a fair amount of beer (which I only bought at the beer tent!) and the food was great and decently priced. For those who missed it, for shame!

I echo those sentiments. Rock the House rocked; all the bands I saw represented well onstage. I was especially blown away by Pivot's set, Mark Lux & co. started things out at a feverish high and never let up; the surprise cameo by former Stept On voice Chuck B. was wild as well! John Denver Flight School - my first good look at them, this band has some energy and imagination (I even inherited a souvenir airplane wing!). Rennis with guest singer Eric Voeghtly smoked (Craig Stiles was away getting married; god man, where are your priorities?), and Yum finished up the night with a fun, raucous party! Everything ran on time, very few problems from what I could see. I had a great time, glad I made the roadtrip!

Ditto on all the above remarks. Congrats to Bill Betts and Mark Lux on another great event for the Johnstown region.

The food was good in my opinion. I should know:

12:00 - 2 hot dogs and an order of fries

3:00 - 1 cheeseburger and an order of fries

10:00 - 1 hot dog and an order of fries

Total food cost = $11.00

I don't think I say Jaybird eating at all!! But if you say so Jaybird, I guess I'll believe you. It was definetly a rocking good time for a good cause and you can bet I'll be back next year! All the bands were awesome and supportive and everything seem to have run fairly smoothly and as scheduled. Great Job to everyone involved.
