GIANT EAGLE ADVANTAGE CARD!

I got home this morning from working 11-7 and went grocery shopping at Giant Eagle in Altoona with my wife. The price of gas went down again while we were in the store, making the price per gallon $2.349. I have been saving my fuel perks from my advantage card for awhile and had $2.00 off per gallon of gas. So I was very happy to pay only .349 a gallon for gas!!!

HERE IS PROOF!!

I find Giant Eagle's prices to be very high compared to other storess. What you save on gas, you more than make up on the price of their groceries.

It depends on what you buy at Giant Eagle. I would never do my everyday shopping there, but if you pay attention to their sales to stock up on some things then you can still rack up alot of fuel perks. Also you can get alot of them through the pharmacy. I never get like some people and get almost free gas, but .80 or so off every so often isnt bad.

On some of there things, you are right. They are higher priced on alot of things. This is why we also shop at Martins with there Bonus Card. We watch prices and we get whatever we can get cheaper at either Giant Eagle or Martins. We get 20 cents off a gallon for gas with every $50 we spend at Giant Eagle and get 10 cents of a gallon with every $50 we spend at Martins. We let the discounts build up as long as we can before we cash them in. I think the biggest one I used at Martins was like $1.10 off per gallon.

Don't forget too, that Giant Eagle sells gift cards. So the next time you plan on spending $200 at Sears, or $50 at Home Depot, or even just $20 at Olive Garden or McDonalds, buy a gift card from Giant Eagle.

When we bought our elliptical at sears for $400, we bought a gift card at Giant Eagle. Which in turn saved us.... 80 cents a gallon... something like that. When doing that, the price of groceries at Giant Eagle doesn't even enter into it.

Be careful though, cuz Home Depot cards take up to 24 hours to activate.

The rest are immediate; just Home Depot and (I think) 1 more take a while to activate.

Smart shopping... slipping it to the man!

If only Giant Eagle sold gift cards for Walmart!!!
YING, yes it is I....

the price is great with fuel perks, but I still won't buy Giant Eagle's gas, I've heard nothing good about their gas. I'm kind of a "gas snob" because better gas gives you better fuel economy, more power and doesn't gunk up your engine. Having said that, I don't buy gas from Sheetz either. Actually I only buy gas from BP or Sunoco. But that gift card idea is GREAT for people just looking for prices.
