New face on the Sunset Strip

Post by sunsetbass »

:( After much begging and smoosing we at sunset strip have to say a heart felt "later dude" to Jimi Hatt. We knew Mr. Hatt was only gonna fill in until we got a permenant replacement. well that time has come and we all greatly thank Jimi for all he has done for us. he will be sadly missed. and remember Jimi, you always have a home on the Sunset Strip. I for one had an awesome time jamming with you, and it was a honor. Jimi will be doing his last show with us Oct. 31. at the Patton Slovak Club.

So who you ask is filling Jimi Hatts Shoes????? The guitar shredder himself, Mr. James Forish. (Sorry if i killed the spelling but it was close.) James has played in several bands over the years but most reacently with the band "Itch" out of Johnstown. From all of us on the strip, Welcome Aboard James.

Wow. I miss jimi already!

James is also a special guy. I had the honor of subbing bass with "Itch" a couple of years ago. James went to the Guitar Insitute in California and learned all kinds of guitar tricks. Sometime ask him to do the beginning guitar intro to "Magic Carpet Ride".

It's been a pleasure working with you guys. Everyone made me feel like family right away, and it's a talented and exciting band. You have a good thing going and I wish you nothing but success in the future.

Rockpagers, go check out Sunset Strip. You won't be disappointed.

Sunsetbass, thanks for the kind words and for your stellar matchmaking skills.

(PS - If the 31st is my last show, do I get Saturday off?)

If you have an EGO, go look in the mirror, then you will realize you shouldn't.
