There's talks about a possible ADA MP-3 coming soon.
I read about it on adadepot.com
From what I gather someone either bought the rights to the company or the company itself is making a comeback.
It's still on the drawing board right now, and there's concern from them (ADA) as to the relevance of a new rack product in today's market.
there's concern on the board as to whether the MP-3 will live up to the heritage of it's brethren.
I personally think (as a rack user) that there shold be more rack products available for us, and I think that there is a market albeit a small one.
So perhaps a small batch or limited run just to test the waters would be a great idea.
I have owned an MP-1 and an MP-2, so I'm extremely curious to see and hear the new MP-3 if it comes into fruition.
I personally love the MP-2 the best, but due to the lack of mods available I sold it after I bought my Engl 620.
I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for this for sure.
I think that Baddazeguitar and Lonewolf would be interested in this as well cause they are and have been ADA owners for a while now.

ADA MP-3
Wow didn't know about this Joe. If they do this I'll be first in line to try it! I always loved my MP-1 but as styles changed it just couldn't hang anymore IMO. I've considered the Voodoo mod but just couldn't part with the cash for it. I'm also a bit concerned that as good as the Voodoo mod is that I still won't be able to dial in "modern" tones. I agree big time about needing more rack products on the market. I appreciate guys who want to "keep it simple" but really racks can be so versatile. Why eat a cheeseburger everyday when I can have almost anything from the menu?

Some people have to watch what they eat.
Seriously though, once I find out more about this, and if it does go into production and there's a dealer close by, me and you are gonna have to go try this out for sure.
Then grab a coke and a cheeseburger afterward.

As a bass player, I really enjoy the versatility of a rack/component setup. I'd venture to say that majority of bass players out there nowadays are using solid-state rigs - or at least solid-state power sections - so we all need lots of headroom. I just found that most of the self-contained heads out there didn't have the power that I wanted. Therefore, I went the pre/power amp route and couldn't have been happier. I've always been happy with my preamp, so when I wanted more power, I just racked up a more powerful (and lighter!) power section.
Again, there's nothing wrong with wanting to keep it simple. I wish I had about a 500 watt head sitting around that I could us for practice, jamming, and acoustic gigs. It would be much easier to lug around than my rack.

You've got a deal Joe. Sometime we should get a group together and hit one of those NAMM shows. That would be awesome.

Yes, tell me about it! I'd be thrilled to go to one of those. I remember RickW from the emporium told me that he frequents those quite often.BadDazeGuitar wrote:You've got a deal Joe. Sometime we should get a group together and hit one of those NAMM shows. That would be awesome.
