"I really need to know if she really thinks dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago, cause she is going to have the nuclear codes."

He's talking about Sarah Palin and her view of creationism. Palin has stated that she believes dinosaurs and humans were on the earth at the same time. Part of her quote was, "I've seen human footprints inside those of dinosaur footprints."

She believes that the earth was created around 7,000 years ago and the fossils are from that time not from millions of years ago. Because that would contradict the bible and creationism.

When I was a kid, which was a long time ago, we used to have to watch this video in biology class called (if I remember correctly), called "Footprints in Stone". It was a film that the teacher had to show if they taught evolution. The film took place in Texas, and they had evidence of human looking footprints intermingled with dinosaur prints.
I know I have a few creationist friend on here, but the whole "creationist" view seems to me to be very, very short sighted.
I really don't care if my ancestors were "monkeys" all that I know is that I'm here, today... and I'm a Cromagnon man.
Obviously Palin and I saw the same film in school. She took it to heart.
... and then the wheel fell off.

Matt Damon always struck me as a smart, thoughtful guy and you really can't dispute his logic here.

I just can't see myself voting and I hate to be that person. I really do. But if I can't get behind either one, truly, what choice do I have? I'd rather be proven wrong in my fears of the future than to vote for a candidate that I know in my heart is not the one to support and right now I don't think we're being given candidate to stand behind. Given the fall out of the last month I guess I'm seeing change could only be better, but changing to what is my ultimate fear. God help us all.

That's exactly how I felt 4 years ago. Our choices were: A) Dubya and his posse, and we all saw where that was going; or B) John Kerry, who appeared unable to find his behind with either hand.-------->JMS

But in retrospect do you think that John Kerry might have been a better choice for the country?

I do... I did..... GWB is bad......

But he has lots of cash....
